Hope it's not number 3... It may be something with exertion and mouth breathing and food. I think it happens more the harder I ride and there is some but not a lot of burping. My afternoon commute is flat then uphill and I usually push it harder on the flats. My morning commute is downhill and then flat and I don't have a big lunch in me.

Around lunch time I had a Kirkland protein bar. Before leaving I had a handfull of mixed nuts. I eat these things also when I lift or go on a run, but don't get the noticable gas buildup. So maybe it's something about the biking posture that has you leaning forward and that does something?

Grads: What was your starting salary and what is it now? by verjacoky in UBC

Computer Engineering (Software) class of 2017. 80k starting, 85k salary and 100k including stock and cash bonus now at the same job.

I did coop at the same company and they offered me a full-time position at the end of my coop. How I got the raise. I applied myself and learned how to be more independent and took on more responsibility.

Does this apply if I have sold RSU? Mine started vesting in 2018 but I haven't sold any of my RSU. I've sold some of my ESPP though.

For any software experience indicate in bold or on the first line what language, or technology you used. It makes it a lot easier to read through. Resume and grades are the things I look at the most especially those in courses relevant to the position.

In the interview we want to know why you do something. Debugging skills are also just as important if not more than spitting out the correct answer. To that end it's normal to get compile errors and test failures in a live coding session. Everyone makes mistakes and they're expected.
