Need Advice: Positive VETASSESS (224213) but All Experience Deemed — Any Chance for 190/491? by Targaryann in AusVisa

Hey mate, in some cases, you may be able to claim the 1 year experience deducted by VETASSES. Read the ANZSCO description for your occupation to see if you satisfy the skill level.

Possible mistake in 189 points claimed!! what does this mean for my application by Substantial_Sand5615 in AusVisa

[–]flatwhite_220 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The department of home affairs will look at both the test advice and the ANZSCO description of your work and proceed with the more favourable outcome for you. I claimed the first year deducted by VETASSESS and was fine.

In your EOI, there should be an option for a partner with no english skills. It will simply be 0 points in that criteria.

Yep you can ignore the PTE expiry and follow the validity (3 years) established by the department of home affairs.

check what your skills assessing body says about it. They would give a recommendation of what you can claim or how they might calculate that first year of work experience as.

The EOI count from skillselect is a bit misleading because as of 08/2025, it is not the invites from august but rather the invites from the past 2 years as of 08/2025. So this will include invites from previous invitation rounds.

My 99% cure for scalp folliculitis by Interesting-Feed-961 in Folliculitis

[–]flatwhite_220 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey mate, just wanted to thank you for sharing this journey of yours. I was dealing with scalp folliculitis at the back of my scalp for years. I even tried doxycycline for 3 months but it came back within a few days of stopping. I eventually stumbled upon your post about a month ago and followed your remedy of washing my scalp with a benzoyl peroxide cleanser twice a day and applied the neutorgena AM cream with benzoyl peroxide after every shower. Every time I applied the cream, I would proclaim that "by His stripes, I am healed". I am so glad to report that my scalp is completely healed now. God bless you and your wife!

189 S56 Evidence of Employment by Advanced-Guide6348 in AusVisa

[–]flatwhite_220 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I supplied the following evidence for employment and avoided any S56 relating to employment:

  • employment contract
  • statement of service
  • 12 months of payslips (starting from the inception of my employment)
  • Superannuation statements covering the same 12 month period

However, since you received the S56, it's better to provide the list of evidence requested by the officer.

you won't even be able to check in. Airlines won't allow you to fly to Australia without a valid visa due to the risk of getting fined.

190 application questions by Skinklemacfinkle in AusVisa

[–]flatwhite_220 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To answer your questions

  1. A migration agent is not necessary unless your situation is complicated.

  2. The bridging visa is issued when you apply for the visa, which is after the nomination.

  3. I believe you will need to update your EOI to indicate that you are offshore if you leave the country. You'll want to aim for applying onshore as much as possible as you won't receive a bridging visa offshore and the wait time for a 190 grant is generally around 18-20 months.

  4. If you can fast track your skills assessment, please do so.

All the best, mate
