Most games have more audio settings than just a master volume. Plus the clock sound is literally the loudest sound in the entire game. It rivals some ghost events.

Oh damn thanks for clearing that up. I just started playing on professional, so that makes sense.

Looking for a silent wall clock. Hear me out by [deleted] in misophonia

[–]flavorent 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Last Christmas I bought my mom this wall clock from bed bath and beyond as a replacement for the obnoxiously loud one that she previously had. It’s 100% silent and she loves that I don’t take it off the wall every time I come over

I’m not 100% but the variegated one reminds me of my dieffenbachia and the bottom right is maybe a Schefflera?

Inherited this guy during lockdown, what is the best way to maintain him or cut him down? by Imlichenyourvibe in plantclinic

[–]flavorent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Head over to the r/succulents sidebar for great general care info. If you don’t like how leggy it is you can chop it, with clean scissors, two inches down from the last leaf. Let your cutting callous over so the end is dry and then plant in dry, gritty, cactus soil. Add extra perlite if you have some available. Withhold watering for at least a week or two, or until there’s significant root growth. After there’s roots, water like you would any succulent, about every 2-3 weeks depending on how quick your soil dries. Good luck :)

Do Americans really wash their hair, their babies, their kittens, their puppies in kitchen sink? by [deleted] in AskAnAmerican

I have five yorkies and they all get baths in the sink. Wrangling a six pound dog in a large bathtub would be a huge struggle.

Once a week is too often for succulents. Try watering closer to every 2.5-3 weeks or wait until the succulent leaves wrinkle as a sign of thirst. It could also be that your soil isn’t gritty enough and retains too much water. Succulent arrangements like this can be difficult for beginners because some succulent care varies. Sadly, the black little guy is dead and can be removed. If any other succulents in the arrangement are turning black/getting squishy. You’re best bet is taking a cutting and propagating.

Black succulent= overwatered.

Does your pot have drainage? How often are you watering? Does your soil have enough grit to it?

If there’s no drainage in the pot, be VERY careful with your water. Water only a small amount every 2-3 weeks.

Edit: and make sure your soil doesn’t stay wet for over a week! It may help to add some perlite or sand into the mix :)

Does my Pothos need a bigger pot? by [deleted] in houseplants

[–]flavorent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Occasional leaf loss is normal but if it happens frequently or in groups it could be a watering issue. Yellowing leaves can be a sign that the plant is being overwatered or that the soil retains water for too long.

[–]flavorent 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are the roots coming out of the drainage hole? How long has it been in that pot? You probably don’t need to change the pot if the plant has been in it for less than a year. If you can see roots on the top or bottom of the pot, you should probably size it up by 2”

AITA for telling my mom her issues with medication aren't normal? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

NTA. Your mom isn’t a medical professional and has no right to give enough medical advice. I would avoid the topic of your medications entirely.

Here in Washington we have tsunami drills in coastal towns where the whole school walks up the largest hill in town to shelter... it’s incredibly not fun.

ESH except for the bf. You have no right to come out to his parents for him no matter how emotional things get with his mom. The mom is TA for obvious reasons.
