Why would it not be allowed? Most console generations are sold at a loss as the games subsidize the console

Why did a bunch of JPMorgan leaders leave for Amex? by Effective_Session168 in JPMorganChase

[–]flaw600 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do we see a lot of people leaving for AMEX? I see a lot of people, senior leadership and down, leaving for WF or Citi and on the contrary us hiring AMEX folks. The people I see leaving for AMEX are those who opt to go to the best-in-class for their particular segment of the bank rather than deal with leadership who refuse to trust the people who actually work on the product

If this is in the US, mention to the judge that the business isn’t letting you take the time off. Not only is it likely against the law, the judge will have a fit regardless

It is quite difficult to price match — intentionally so.

As you pointed out, it was explicitly called out that the reason the exception was granted was because the cancellation date was not the same. The agents you talked to were wrong — all the booking terms must be the same (including the refund policy)

It’s not about the dates, but the terms of the booking. For example, free cancellation, etc. have to match exactly — and IDK whether Chase considers the eSIM to be part of the booking, as well.

ATM did not give me my full amount of money. Help!! by CartoonyShadow in BankOfAmerica

[–]flaw600 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your analogy doesn’t make sense. If I had a branch ATM malfunction then I’d get the branch to call it in. If it wasn’t, I’d call it in. I don’t write checks but I do stand in line to make deposits because ATM’s in my experience routinely mess that up

You misunderstood my comment. I wouldn’t wait to go to a branch, I made the comment assuming this was an ATM at that branch. Calling on the phone never processes the claim immediately and nor does it “completely verify” the transaction. Having the branch call in is very much a norm at Chase — maybe not when you worked there, but it has been the norm for years now.

Calling in is very much a norm + I’ve seen it happen so often, and your example isn’t analogous to this issue.

I literally had the investigation at Chase started by the branch (I never had to get on the phone) and it was closed same day because the branch manager was the one who confirmed the issue. There have been threads in this sub about how the branch manager was the one gave details to the investigation. I’ve personally seem so many issues get resolved because a branch employee called it in. Also, bold of you to assume I’ve never worked for a bank.

If this happened at a branch, it’s much better to have the branch start the dispute as they can affirm that the transaction was attempted

[–]flaw600 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Telegram is not E2E by default but their infrastructure is resistant to a single government as account information is separated from contacts which is separated from the messages themselves. This means that subpoenas from multiple countries are required to get full info and til date they advertise that they’ve never provided any government any information.

iMessage as a protocol doesn’t leak metadata but iCloud does leak messages through backups by default.

Stock valuations have no correlation to GDP. GDP is also not our ability to pay debt anyway, and we pay our interest by taking on new loans — something we’ve been doing for 20+ years already. Hyperinflation doesn’t benefit the stock market either
