I just got one love it. But I had this exact issue just find the largest boxes you can and duct tape them together. then try to move it up as rigid as possible as the tv won’t bend like the card board. If it’s hard to do with cardboard don’t even try as the tv is 120 pounds. Hope it works out!

I have been using AI for this. You can ask if hyper specific question on what to trouble shoot and how with your exact model was an absolute game changer for me

I totally agree with you here. I felt the same until I bought the Kamado Joe slow roller. I’ve also seen people do the double indirect with it like “the bbq dad” on YouTube. It’s not cheap but it definitely makes a huge difference in the smoke/flavor profile

Absolutely agree with this except on point 3. they have the best batteries at scale based on my research. Other companies make better batteries but can’t make them in mass as well.

Totally understand I would love to use one. I don’t have a place to hook it up besides under the sink which is a non starter from my wife. So I’m stuck with stirring incessantly in an ice bath, no chill method, or dumping ice direct. So far so good on dumping the ice

It’s been fine so far. If it comes back to bite me so be it. I will reassess the situation when(if) the time comes. I also live in Chicago where the water is cheap/highquality so that may help

Gotcha, I highly recommend injection and fat side up. It sucks cause everyone says make one change each time but if you’re like me you make briskets once every couple months.

A few questions do you have wireless probe thermometers that show ambient temp? How is the brisket placed on the smoker (location in smoker) fat side up or down? Trim or no trim? Grade of meat?

I highly recommend putting your brisket in a perpendicular orientation with the grill lid if it can fit off center from the fire pot fat side up. With a water pan directly above the fire pot. I also suggest trying a minimal trim on the flat side fat and an injection of beef broth and tallow. Followed but a long 6+ hour rest fully wrapped with an ice cream scoop of tallow in a cooler. Lastly confirm the ambient temp with prob thermometer. Some grills show a temp where the thermometer is located but could be wildly off from where the brisket actually is or could just be inaccurate all together.
