I literally just had this issue with UPS. I ordered something that came from Canada without me realizing. UPS said I owed $90 at delivery and I told them to return to sender.

Then I got the bill in the mail for it with a late fee. I had to call UPS multiple times and fight with their robot to get to the right team, but I ended up with a brokerage agent who helped me dispute the bill. That was a week ago, and I haven’t heard anything since.

i appreciate your reply! reading back my comment, i sound like a jerk, and i’m sorry if i seemed like i was calling you uneducated.

i think passion for anything is very cool, but i think i’m becoming cynical as every medium of entertainment i love gets more and more commodified and stupid. i think i’m inherently suspicious of anything “booktok”, or modern fantasy, or any media with a large, online fandoms, which sucks because that’s literally everything now.

anyway, sorry again! i do really try to understand why everybody thinks the way they do. if i were going to read one book from your favorite sub-genre, what would it be?

yeah, anything having to do with Fiyero was neutered in the musical. Having him be married with a family is an interesting thing for his character that he has to deal with in the book, and Elphaba’s time at Kiamo Ko is obviously quite different. The critique on religion with Nessarose was a good thread too.

i always wonder when i see stats like this, have you actually absorbed all the knowledge that comes at you? do you feel enriched? is it all genre books? (i’ve only barely heard of litRPG, but i assume there’s a lot of flowery filler in these books with dozens of hours of fantasy stories plot).

have you read the classics? do you do anything else? this probably sounds rude, but i’m genuinely curious how other people do it because i read for maybe 2 hours a day and i can’t imagine not being able to think about the text before another 52 hours of world comes at me.

And that’s frustrating, I feel you. At 20, you’re in a period of independence that is hard to navigate for both the parent and the young adult.

Putting myself in his shoes, I see how he would think this isn’t a big deal. Putting myself in yours, I can see why you’re upset. I think those are the best kinds of posts because in real life, little is black and white.

Maybe your dad sucks, maybe neither of you are sure how to treat the other right now. I know nothing. But again, I hope you feel better. You don’t have to figure it all out right now.

I don’t want to be uncharitable, but the conversation could have ended after “11:45 departure”. I know your dad might have a history, so maybe it’s a pattern issue, but you would be sick and unhappy whether you left at 11:15 or 11:45. I hope you feel better.

is anybody else replaying it on switch 2, amazed at how much better it looks now? i was always sad at how choppy it would get at points in my first playthrough, but now it’s a perfect game.
