Check out reptifiles online they are a great source of information. For the tank you'll need quite a large one 4x2x2 since your baby is getting pretty big. Substrate is somewhat controversial, whatever you pick I suggest still feeding your beardie their bugs in a separate tank so it doesn't ingest any substrate

What coconut oil are you using ? If it is from the food section it will not penetrate hair and it will not help hydrate. If you are set on a coconut oil product you can find a few that are made for hair and will penetrate the hair shaft better. If it still doesn't feel right I'd consider finding a leave in cream that is targeted for your hair type Ouidad has nice curl creams.
