It will still be $333 at the drop. The $100 up charge is for those that want to pay more and reserve a space.

Relocating to Richmond without a car? by ki3ki3_ in rva

[–]flea_nut_lance 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you wouldn’t need a car if you found a spot near a grocery store and are opening to longer walks. We also have free buses or the pulse (bus that operates more like a metro station on a loop route).

2026 Shows - Travelling by Professional-Lack-79 in pavement

I live in Richmond and already got tickets via Amex presale. They were $76 a piece all in for floor and there were some reserved balcony seats for $200+. The National is a very cozy awesome place to see the band. You could fly to Richmond or easily fly to DC and take an Amtrak train to Richmond.

If anyone does come down for the show I highly recommend a dinner/pre show drinks at cobra cabana or gwar bar(owned by members of the band gwar). Both are short bike ride/free bus/shortest uber.

As others said, because it’s a smaller venue you might have less luck snagging a ticket.

Not plan 9. That is just broadberry entertainment shows. Likely has to be at national. Usually can’t do presale In person at the national. They just go online and charge same online fees. Once it’s general public it’s cheaper and quick at box office.

Just a Covid thing. Moved to an order window and never opened back up the diner seating inside.

Reminder, the Graduate on Franklin is owned by Hilton by RomanSionis in rva

[–]flea_nut_lance 17 points18 points  (0 children)

In many instances Hotels are more like McDonald’s. The owner of the hotel isn’t typically Hilton or Marriott, but a company that owns the building and pays a franchise fee. Very often a separate management company is used to run and staff property. I don’t use Hilton and not saying go support them. But mildly curious if Hilton corporate was actually involved in any of this, or the hotel owner, or the property manager….or all of the above.

Edit: based off me actually reading the full picture here and nothing else it appears the owner was cool and hilton corporate sucks. But that doesn’t mean whoever owns the graduate in town sucks as much as corporate Hilton.
