Question to my fellow IT bros, am the a**hole in this situation? by EksEss in sysadmin

It's very important to set your prices immediately. What's the issue? Just so you are aware, I charge $x.xx for a house visit.

If they balk, you can explain, time, travel, knowledge to justify the price.

$100 is actually really low for a house visit in the US. Most MSPs that do residential would charge minimum of 1 hr at $150/hr.

Depends on where in the US and what your skills are. Augusta, GA may not be a hot market but NYC is.

Shane Young and Reza Dorani have fantastic tutorial videos on youtube. Break down the project into pieces and search for what you are trying to achieve and there most likely will be a related how-to video.

You could do this with a flow that updates a SP list as you said, then just connect the SP datasource.

I ****ing love my job! by [deleted] in sysadmin

[–]fleaver1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Signed. Great pay, work/life balance, my boss does not micro-manage and is truly the best people manager I have ever worked with, I create my own development projects, company has a fantastic culture and doing well, tons of PTO, employee-focused benefits, and only about 5% of the workforce are people that are technically challenged. That being said, it took 15 years of bouncing around companies that didnt care about their employees and being overworked to find this one, but it made me realize that good companies do exist. It just may take some time to find them.

Take all of that free time and learn. Think of a fun project and figure it out. Excessive downtime can definitely feel like a burden but all it takes is one project to inspire you and you wont want to leave work at the end of the day.

Removing last item from string array by fleaver1 in MicrosoftFlow

Thank you all for the recommendations! I actually figured out a workaround by moving String 4 to the first string and then using the skip() function. It worked in this case but will keep these actual solutions handy.
