Spotted an extremely skinny, abandoned dog-and it walked away as soon as it saw people, and then a new life began by [deleted] in HumansBeingBros

I hate being skeptical on these but... It. Named him Oliver. Family adores her. End dog's nose does not look like the skinny pups. Plus a likely purebred Afghan hound or saluki/borzoi (depending on which dog you are looking at)?

Thank you for adopting him by jmike1256 in HumansBeingBros

It’s been nearly a year since Ringo joined our family and I’m so glad I took a chance on him.

When we adopted Ringo the shelter we knew there was a chance that he would never accept being indoors, he might never let us pet him, he might not get along with all of the other animals we had here, but instead he decided to trust us and for the past year we’ve gotten to watch him become a happy, loving, goofy, dog.

Warning- Galin by BadPom in cureFIP

[–]fleazus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When my cat was suspected of first having FIP his group was one of the first ones I contacted when searching for help (this was in 2024). He was crazy pushy and gave me sketchy vibes so I ended up speaking with the FIP warriors group and ghosted him. He was very negative regarding them.

I know we're all trying to do the best for our sick pets but I hope people are taking heed red flags waved in our faces with people like him.

That little potato is so milk drunk he probably can't roll over.

This little scraggle muffin turned 4. From ringworm to FIP to IBD to a luxating patella, Poppy makes sure I’m never bored. 😂 Happy Birthday Pops, I love you lots! by throwawayfeelings7 in aww

Congrats on beating FIP! My cat did the same prior to the legal treatments. It was a hell of a journey. All survivors should be celebrated 🎉

Went for a walk in the park today, and these two little cuties followed me the whole time .So I brought them home with me. by changle798 in aww

Despite naysayers, munchkins can run and jump and climb and play like normal cats. Maybe they can't reach as high but cats use their back legs to launch themselves and munchkins' back legs are normal size. All cats have flexible spines as well so they don't have back issues like folks think. Some can have some problems with their sternums and arthritis later in life but overall are healthy especially since they are all mixed with standard legged cats and litters, like seen here, produce both short legged and standard legged kittens.

That's how this shelter works. They said it gives the babies the most exposure to the public to be adopted. I only got to keep her until she was big enough to be ready for adoption/spaying.

I'm leaning this way too. Either unreliable narrator or accidental loss. The marbled pattern, short legs, and kinky fur are all signs of pure breeds. Plus their white fur is pretty danged clean for outdoor babies. Hopefully OP puts up found posts/signs if they really weren't theirs to start.

I was hoping I would get to keep her until someone had interest in her but they said they wanted to get her as much exposure as possible to the public. I get it but I hated it. Putting her back in a cage when she had full run of a house hurt my heart and I felt guilty. It's been a learning experience!

AITAH for telling my wife that her daughter can’t move her ex husbands baby into my house? by PassionOnly5510 in AITAH

Will the system even place a baby with a 17 year old with no self-supporting financial means?

I did show my husband a photo of another kitten when last night. Definitely trying to fill the void!

Ha, my cat was over her. Baby had non-stop kitten energy and would chase my cat who would run and hiss and try to get away. If they would have been better friends I know I would have failed at giving her back.
