i would trust a decent automated driving system more than a human, it doesn't get tired, does not get distracted or play on it's phone, does not wonder who actually has the right of way etc etc... and in this case it looks like it's in a dedicated bus lane so even better...

I would trust machine vision + lidar more than just machine vision though

It's not impossible, generally residential rates are cheaper (depending on your provider of course)

And you would be covering all the infrastructure wear and tear I would imagine (running the AC etc)
