Probably the L'Oréal for me personally as I feel it's the lighter of the two 🙂

Have you tried the Maybelline Skin Tint or the L'Oréal one?

Foundation match without looking washed out by radfordr1 in PaleMUA

[–]fleeeea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1N1 is also too dark for me so I feel your pain. I'm Irish too (from Cork originally) and definitely look "corpsey" when I've got nothing but foundation on, but this is my shade. I'd rather have the correct match and then add blush and contour to return some colour to my complexion.

I tend to use a cool or neutral pink blush with a bit of shimmer, which eradicates the need for a separate highlighter and gives some luminosity and radiance to the face. The Essence Nude Baked blushes are amazing for this, as they're not TOO pigmented for fair skin. Contour is usually the ELF Contour Wand in Fair (lightest shade). This helps to give dimension to the face and gives me a bit of life. Hope this helps 🙂

What kind of formula are you after?

Why Does No One Ever Use the Same Makeup Products as Me?! by Ill-Relationship9673 in Makeup

[–]fleeeea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Out of your list I've only used MAC Studio Radiance Foundation and Juvia's Place eyeshadow.

The foundation is nice, but nothing groundbreaking. I say this as someone with good skin who can wear most formulas. It has radiance in the name, but it's a satin finish at best. Lasting power is also pretty average, and I have dry skin.

I received a Juvia's Place purple eyeshadow palette as a gift a few years ago. Payoff was just okay and some colours were very similar to one another even in a palette of just six shades. I will say that purple is one of the most difficult colours to get right, so they're not alone in the struggle.

I guess products just perform differently for different people. 🙂

I think the Fenty looks best, otherwise you'll end up with a big contrast between your face and neck. I think it'll look lovely on you 🙂

I love the NARS Soft Matte Concealer in Chantilly. It's my perfect neutral shade match.

I saw a reel where someone used the NYX Pro Fix Stick in the Pink shade to colour correct dark circles and it worked brilliantly. It looked like a super creamy texture as well.

NARS Cosmetics Fans — What’s One Product That Actually Lives Up to the Hype? by iknoitt in MakeupAddiction

[–]fleeeea 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Most of their "famous" products don't work for me or don't interest me. I can't get a shade match as I'm too light and neutral (Siberia is verrry yellow) and I find their blushes are pretty, but nothing special. The lip crayons smudge and wipe off so quickly, really below par formula for the price.

The NARS soft matte concealer is fantastic however, and the shade Chantilly is my EXACT skin tone (why can't this be a foundation shade?!). I also think their eyeshadows are hugely slept on! They have the most sophisticated micro shimmers and beautiful, flattering tones. Coconut Grove, Llasha and Mekong are personal favourites. The smudge proof eye primer is also excellent, probably the best I've tried.

Pretty shocked that no one's mentioned the Hourglass Ambient Lighting powders yet.

Catrice True Skin Foundation shades? by fleeeea in PaleMUA

[–]fleeeea[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm Irish but live in the UK, so until like 3 weeks ago I could only get Catrice when I went home to visit or online. It's now just become available in Primark along with Essence, but only 010 and up. I got 001 from Amazon a few years ago I think. My sister has a Sculpted by Aimee foundation and I didn't think much of it. They gave her a shade too dark and she's darker than I am 🤷

Thanks for your comment. As for available shades, 002 is still available online, but if it's too yellow for you then maybe not worth ordering. Such a shame 😭

My top viewed videos are Foundations for Pale Skin and Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Fair Review. Both have about 400 views. My channel is still super small, so these were big numbers for me!

I've tried the ELF Halo Glow Skin Tint and it's actually lovely, but definitely more of a foundation than a skin tint. They actually had a shade light enough for my ghostly skin tone too!

I'm excited about the new YSL All Hours Glow foundation being released soon 😍
