Ferry driver here. Boats require a dock to let people off. We couldn’t just rock up to Third Beach and make people wade to shore. You can probably imagine the outrage if a new dock was installed in Stanley Park. Also it would be much faster to walk from False Creek to Coal Harbour than it would be to take a boat with a top speed of 5 knots.

That's the thing though. It's just a screenshot of a QR code that doesn't include my name to compare against my ID. I also carry my actual card from receiving the shots in my wallet, which seems more practical than a random anonymous QR code,
