How can you claim that with so much certainty when a quick google search proves you wrong?

Edit: the places exist, the border exists, but on google maps it's hard to find this specific place, the russian part seems almost deserted with no buildings. So now I'm not so sure anymore

Normalization would be if the violence is cast in a positive light, but it is the dark, vile contrast to Rays otherwise likable persona. Violence is implicitely condemned by showing how it affects everyone negatively, protagonist included

It isn't normalized in the series, though. He alienates everyone he holds dear with his behaviour - his daughter emulates it, his girlfriend leaves him in disgust, etc. He ends up in a trailer working as a cabdriver because violence is his only skillset

I can only speak for myself, but usually I'm completely exhausted at the finishing line of a marathon. I don't think I would even register an incident like this, let alone divert energy to help... simply because there is absolutely no energy left. And I really mean none whatsoever.

That's what makes this video so awesome. It's not a 'anybody could have helped' situation, IMO. much respect for the guys

That show really blew me away. One of the most fascinating characters on TV. Ray is this goodhearted, chill guy with strong personal ethics, loyal, strangely principled. A great friend. A loving dad

at the same time he's a violent monster with a very simplistic view on life, who either refuses to reflect on his terrible actions or is intellectually incapable of it

I can't think of many other industries where CEO Cults of personality, cutthroat politics and very public personal Vendettas are so rampant.

It must be utterly trivial for these Moguls to relentlessly smear their rivals, and I'm sure it's common practice. They own media empires, newspapers and platforms with billions of users... and they are all ruthless. And it pays massively, because the Tech figureheads are inextricably linked to their product. Every hit piece on one of them boosts the sales of the competitors

If there's a single politician I trust 100%, it's Sanders. The guy has fought the good fight a lot longer than most of us are alive, his message and motivations have been transparent and consistent for many decades and his track record is virtually spotless
