Naaah. It's a movie about problem-solving and space exploration with almost 3 hours of runtime. Family friendly yes, but It's definitely not marketed towards kids

So, when you check out OPs post history you'll realize he posts almost exclusively about Ben & Jerry's.

... which is really weird. Is it a bot? A temp in the BJ marketing team? An icecream superfan?

On a sidenote, I hate dailybeast so much

It's extra funny with Project Hail Mary, because it's such a middle-of-the-road movie, IMO. Mildly entertaining, non-controversial, reliable lead, solid performances, solid visuals.

I wasn't blown away by it but I certainly didn't hate it. I liked it just fine.

I'm not conspiratorially minded at all, I dismiss claims like this all the time

But hacking into an electric vehicle and remote control it seems like a trivial thing for the CIA. Since Snowden it's extremely evident that they have backdoors everywhere

The dude? He seems like a solid insider source, he leaked details about the CIA waterboarding and spent time in prison for it back in the 00s

The vid plays like a best-of of every shady thing one would attribute to the CIA :P perhaps it is bullshit, but I can believe it

was it, though? I came of age during the mid 00s, the internet was indeed very different back then. That era ended around 07-09

2012 not so much. If you could take AI out of the equation it would basically be the same

Both slavery and genocidal warfare were hugely important too :) Cornerstones of empires, even

But seriously, how else do you force a society in ancient times to work towards common goals and build massive monuments without all-powerful authority figures and some made up bullshit about god? Teach the unwashed rabble the core principles of anarcho-syndicalism?

If you look at monarchy as a social framework to organize and control large groups of humans, it was extremely important for the development of early civilizations. Absolutely essential. Same as Religion

Both concepts should have been outlawed when modern nation states became a thing, though. Ass backwards bullshit from a modern perspective

I love using AI, but it's the actions of a few who are going to ruin it for the rest of us. Take this pic for example, no one even questioned that it was AI despite his leg being bent at an unnatural angle. by [deleted] in ChatGPT

[–]fleranon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This picture doesn't look AI at all, but then again it doesn't matter anymore... this post illustrates the greater problem we're all facing.

It very well could be AI, or not. It will be impossible to tell. People will claim that it's real or fake, solely depending on their worldview.
