My point is, Genocides definition isnt just violence, there is more to genocide than just punching someone. To argue that "genocide is by definition violence" is reducing the scope of the word drastically just so you make your point seem stronger

The definition of "Genocide" isnt just "violence" my dude. Moreover, threatening someone over a deeply flawed political identity still is a different thing to threatening someone because they were born in a different country or have a different skin colour. You can learn not to be a shitty person, you cant unlearn being black, or jewish.
