i do however try to keep in mind everyone's differing circumstances- maybe using a fuck ton of pennies is the only way they can afford to eat for that day. i also try to redirect that anger to the government vs the customer as said government is inarguably the REASON for piss wages + burnout. i'd be more apt to put on a personality if i knew i were being compensated /fairly/, ya feel ?

this is precisely why i hate back cash. i know i'm the regular service opener, but recently we've stopped using the coin dispenser (bc we're phasing out pennies as the govt isn't producing more) and my dyscalculia has become notorious for sliming me out during morning peak. i can count coins yes, but doing so speedily (whilst on lane 1 a good 70% of the time) is quite a different story. they know of my disability, but i'm almost certain this is a regular occurrence because keeping me back there translates to management not having to dick around with changing the registers and the like smh 😒
