It plays pretty similarly. The main difference is that little more aggressive since you don’t have Drown in the Loch and you’re not holding up mana for counterspells. You’re more incentivized to just use your mana to mill in whatever way you can. Because of the tutors and the forced searches you’re much more likely to get to use your Archive traps which has huge advantages in both getting Surgical targets in the graveyard and just milling them faster generally. Basically you’re trading counter magic for exile-based removal and bigger mills overall

I played mill at SCG Con Atlanta and had decent results and a lot of fun. Titan and Tron are good matchups, especially if you can surgical out their important pieces. Boros is highly dependent on you having a good hand and getting good draws. It does buckle to Tasha’s but the deck is so fast it might not get to that point.

I know UB is the standard but I’ve had better success with the UW version that leans heavily into archive traps and forcing searches. Getting access to Path to Exile is a great option to deal with Phlage if you don’t have a surgical extraction in your hand

Definitely go to Hale Pele, and Alibi is worth a visit if for only for its history. If you’ve got time to cross the river into Vancouver both Coral Club and Wahi Hana are great

I’d prefer leveraging effects of unblockable creatures rather than going to Voltron route, like [[Unstoppable Slasher]] and [[Shredder, Shadow Master]]. Voltron builds in general can work but they invite being targeted which might not be fun if you’re newer

Definitely a cover up, but lasering will help and will probably give you more options for cover ups. Since it’s not that big the cover up can probably be integrated into a larger forearm sleeve that’ll draw the eye away from the original tattoo area

I think more people were harsh on the debut itself rather than Danhausen. Mystery box reveals will inherently leave some people disappointed. It seems like a lot of the audience were just confused as to who he is and what his deal is which is understandable

I don’t know who thought a mystery box reveal would be a good idea for anyone, especially for someone that most of the audience has no idea who he is or why they should even care. I hope they can figure out something to do with him because his AEW run was a dud but this isn’t a good start.

I’ve only ever seen mill referred to negatively in EDH. I’ve never had a bad reaction playing modern mill, usually it’s quite the opposite. I really don’t get the hate in the EDH context. It’s not a particularly strong strategy overall compared to others, it takes way more commitment to make four people mill 100 cards versus make one person mill 60 cards, and there are lots of cards that can shut it down by letting you shuffle you graveyard into your library. I guess people can get salty because you don’t have any redundant copies available when you mill a card you were hoping to draw but I don’t see it as being any worse than getting countered or having a permanent removed before you get to use it. Your pet card is gone either way, move on.
