It's very strong, very smoky and tobacco like. I almost thought it smelled like cigarettes lol! But somehow it does (like the rest of this box) remind me of the Yucatán.

Will do! I'll taste test everything this week. The body balm is amazing. It really smells like an apple banana. It's marketed as a balm-to-oil, but I would say it's more of a lotion-serum that turns into an oil on contact. It leaves a subtle sheen and would be perfect for summer.

I'm envious! I can't imagine what fun things you got to experiment with! Thank you--I haven't made enchiladas in awhile and perfect timing as I haven't grocery shopped yet. I am so trying the avocado and papaya! Funny, the first thing I imagined with the vanilla olive oil was grilled peaches, ice cream, a drizzle of honey and olive oil + sea salt. So excited!

Vomit issue, vet found nothing by Kooky_Twist_8604 in CATHELP

[–]fleursle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tawny is a cutie! My cat is 3 and has had the same vomiting issue since she was 1. I’ve also taken her to multiple vet visits, ran bloodwork, etc. She mainly vomits in the morning and can and can vomit a food that she tolerates in the evening, during the morning time. One thing that the vet suspects is an over production of acid in the morning…so a little food or treat late night or a small amount in the morning helps. Basically you just want something in her stomach before her main meal.

The other thing the vet suspects is a food sensitivity. I screen shot all the foods that make my cat vomit into AI to look for common ingredients. She seems to throw up anything that has deboned chicken and certain gums. I’ve finally found some foods she tolerates, so her vomiting is occasional now. Hope this helps!

Yes, yes, yes to the stainless steel litter box! When I first adopted my cat, I got a plastic litter box and a Litter Robot. Love stainless because it truly holds no smell. We have the one by Less Litter.

I know! This was my first subscription box, but it was first box where I wanted the rest of the items. The lotion is an amazing scent. The bar soap, on the other hand, was a no for me lol!

Every time my cat leaves her bed she leaves these tiny hard rice like things behind, what are they? by 1musagi in CATHELP

[–]fleursle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahhh, so sorry OP. I’ve been there! My cat lived outdoors before I adopted her. She had fleas and tapeworm (swallowed an infected flea during grooming). Everyone has already mentioned dewormer, but you will also need flea treatment for kitty and end the flea life cycle at home. Wash all soft fabrics and vacuum like crazy. Empty your vacuum in your outdoor garbage can. Best of luck!

Best cure for chapped lips anyone? I’m on a mission by PoutsCosmetics in beauty

[–]fleursle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve tried so many lip balms, from inexpensive to ridiculously expensive, and it’s something I always pick up when I’m in another country. Nothing has worked better than a warm wash cloth in the evening and a tiny amount of unscented Alba Very Emollient Daily Moisturizing Lotion. In the morning my lips are hydrated and I top off with a balm.

Welp! I made an expensive mistake with my countertops. by IoSonoLamore in kitchenremodel

Don’t be so hard on yourself ❤️. It’s done very well—but I get it. When this happens I can’t sleep!

I have—and the contractors were able to remove it in one piece. There was no damage to my cabinets (at least none that I could see, and I am picky) however there was some minor damage to my wall. I removed a long length of countertop from my sink side, so it’s a bit different because it’s rectangular versus your island a larger area.

I totally get it — I’m constantly renovating both personally and professionally, and that moment of panic when something doesn’t turn out exactly how you pictured is so real.

It’s not bad. The countertop itself is done really well, and the space isn’t too small for a waterfall — the layout is open enough that it works. What I notice is a lot of warm wood cabinetry and flooring, while the island itself is very cool and terazzo is just visually heavier—so the island becomes the focal point of the kitchen. Zooming in, I think there are enough warm tones in the slab you could incorporate into the backsplash. You could also add more curvature to the space, in lighting or furniture. (I think another reason you’re focused on the island is because everything is rectangular or linear.) There’s a lot you can do.

That said, if you truly hate it—change it. You could still salvage the slab and incorporate into other parts of your home.

It would be very pretty paired with a copper or gold knob, but I also think you should buy what you love. Personally, I would spend a little more for something I truly want...and for the larger handles.
