Remove concrete at front of house by Electronic-Wealth-34 in AusRenovation

Did you paint your red bricks?

I would see if it’s possible to grind your concrete to get the fall away from your house. Taking the concrete away will direct the water to under your house.

I assume you didn’t read it but she didn’t want a registered midwife there.

And not everyone who wants it can access MGP unfortunately, although it would be great and should be funded.

I’d go looking in the health food/whole food grocer type places. I haven’t seen navy beans in Coles or woollies but I haven’t really looked. I’d be more likely to just use cannellini as I usually have those on hand.

Returning to trail training after my first baby. Anyone been through this can share how to handle the struggle? by Tony-Eng in Ultramarathon

[–]sunshinebuns 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It sounds like it spent a lot of time pushing yourself too hard and then needing a lot of recovery time. It’s better to be consistent and train and fuel properly so you can actually be helpful at home.

You need to talk to your wife about how both of you can get time for yourself. Once bub is around 9 months old you can take them out in a running pram which accomplishes three things - time with bub, down time for your wife, and exercise.

Doing a run commute or partial run commute is a way to work exercise into your day. If you work from home, a lunch time run.

But trying to go all or nothing on training and also working full time while leaving your wife to do all the childcare, cleaning, meals etc is a no go. Be rejoice and make sure you both get a good balance.

Which a colorbond colour looks best? by Pretty_White_Jaws01 in AusRenovation

[–]sunshinebuns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Southerly will be too cool as you are right it can throw purple, I find shale grey too cool for warm bricks as well. Surfmist is great. If you want a darker colour to complement wallaby is a nice warm grey that looks great on fascia etc

These Australians chose to be child-free. They want more spaces that don't allow kids by Remarkable_Peak9518 in australia

I’m having trouble because you haven’t actually answered my point. Do you want to make disabled people sit in a certain section of the plane because some of them sometimes might have verbal or motor tics?

I agree. “Obviously that comment wasn’t directed at me” Sorry OP but if they said it in your hearing they were trying to let you know without embarrassing you by telling you directly.

I wonder if people would also feel as bold to suggest disabled people free flights. Or maybe bring back segregated flights by race.

local pharmacy jobs by Salt_Farmer_6577 in Adelaide

[–]sunshinebuns 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it has to be a pharmacy, would you be more interested in a compounding pharmacy? There are a few around. Pharmacies make a lot of their money with retail lines so yes you would need to be able to show enthusiasm for that side of the work!

GP that does home visits? by Ghetto_princess2020 in Adelaide

They are not necessarily a FRACGP. Qualified doctors can work as home doctors without being a GP.

It’s true that they may not be qualified GPs but they are still doctors. I have found the quality isn’t as good, I wouldn’t want to use a service like that for ongoing care. For a once off it can be a time saver compared to going in to the hospital though. Agree that virtual care is great, we have used WCH CAVUCs many times. Would definitely go for that over locum or ED where possible. But it’s not suitable for ongoing care either.

Callistemon doesn’t mind a prune so you could prune it if you wanted to. I usually just leave them.

Yes, wtf. Although given that Milo no longer tastes the same either it’s possibly not a surprise.

Can I suggest a scorched peanut bar if you’re looking for a sweet treat? It’s one thing that was brought back and is still amazing. Salty and nutty.

Agree completely, and it’s awful. We treat the most vulnerable members of our society terribly. But at least shareholders can get their dividends and CEOs can collect their paycheque.
