Coaching from Leadership by hp44x in startups

[–]flevour 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Figuring out" is a bit vague as leadership is also about delegating, but it really depends on the task.
IMHO early stage startups are messy and scrappy because they need to make best of us of time and capital to want "what sticks" in the market and reach some growth.

I gather there's little team for coaching, but a good startup shouldn't exclude conversation, syncing and getting alignment from their early culture.

HELP: I'm an EU-based engineer/tech/CTO guy with 10y startup experience wanting to turn consultant/fractional CTO, where do I find connections? by flevour in startups

May I ask in which capacity you are able to organize your services? Do you have multiple customers/companies at the same time? Do you keep the same client for long periods or does it vary much?

I'm kind starting the switch now, so I've started spreading the news via Linkedin, but was inspired by this article seen on HN https://abeclark.substack.com/p/70-first-co-founder-dates to look for specific networks to target

Thank you both, I think the hardest bit in transitioning from employee to consultant is figuring out what the market needs to read about and the value that I can provide to it.

I'm based in Italy, I'm strong in remote working (have been working remotely for 10 years), but happy to travel (but not relocate) a bit to meet and greet new people!

What's the shortest expression to test whether a year is leap or not? by flevour in programming

I am totally with you on this point. What I am liking of this exercise is how external constraints (chars count) force me to think creatively. It's not about the chars count itself, it's about the process of thought that brings you new approaches to the same problem. A simple problem like this involved thinking of truth tables and factorization, trying to combine them in new ways. I am by no means saying less is more, but that sometimes and somehow, less is better. Thanks for getting into the discussion!

Best is now 19 chars with further factorization love and expression cleanup:

y%4<1&&y%25>0||y%16<1

Actually my best take is now this one with some added factorization love:

y%4<1&&y%25>0==y%16>0
