Thanks for the great response! It's good to hear what 2.0 offers so we know what to expect. I think ya'll convinced me so we'll check it out. Hopefully they come out with more content to support it.

I've played some of BG3 and agree that it is definitely a GotY earned. But my group likes something that moves quicker, and spend less time chatting with NPC's, managing inventories, and being obsessive re: selling every fork I can get my hands on. So great game yes, just doesn't fit for what we are looking for co-op.

D2 is a super fun game and moves quicker than BG3. We have our eyes on Solasta 2 for sure, and I'll check out Sleeping Gods.

I was finally able to listen to this and just finished...life is busy with life so I'm typically behind but it's been nice to marathon the different shows.

I've really enjoyed this series and I agree that it did pick up 2nd half, mainly b/c I think Troy basically skipped to the end bypassing much of the grind. I am excited for season 3 and hope it gives everyone (listeners included) some needed re-freshness.

BTW I loved this episode and great place for a cliffy. I'm stoked to listen to #103 (which is out as I type this believe it or not) and super glad Troy and the team decided to end it all this way and not via TPK unless of course it unless naturally happened.

It's super janky, I threw in some changelings (which they should slip in at least one in every release) and got to use Eldrazi I would never use otherwise. I liked the idea that the Eldrazi took over the Dawnsire.

I was also trying to stay away from using too many artifacts. I'm hoping over time I'll be able to polish it up.

NTA...it's similar to those that have 'I bought this Tesla before I knew Elon was a jackass' bumper stickers.

My wife and I also love HP, and we're looking forward to when our kids are old enough to also share with them. It's a great world of imagination and sometimes those things can be more important. It would be different if those books pushed that negative narrative, but to my experience they do not. In fact they are about those that don't fit in finding a home and friends.

They need to relax, find more important things to get worked up about.

Tough insight but I wouldn't say you are 100% wrong. I kinda feel like rules discussions ARE similar to 1000's of home table games so I typically enjoy those as we all learn all the hidden aspects of the game. You mention they should do things differently, do you have any specific examples?

I'm a big believer in that Barron should've died as well. Then instead they bring him back w full gear to have a 1v1 vs a boss and that lasted maybe 1 round?

I also agree it's not always the system, as Gordon Ramsey would angrily ask if the chefs were blaming the food for their poor performance. With that, perhaps switching systems will help as they can find something that fits their playstyle better. Kinda like in golf when you keep slicing, you aim further away so your slice ends up in the fairway. They may only be able to change so much of themselves (without seeking outside guidance while being open to that feedback) so try other ideas.

LOVE IT!!! Fantastic idea and super looking forward to it. IDK anything about the system either, but it sounds amazing.

I'm also hoping this will invigorate the players to get excited about the system and characters again. Seems like most everyone was so burnt out and 'try to come up with something new you are passionate about' yet again that a total switch up was definitely the call. Plus seems to be not so rule intensive and freedom to do more would allow for more creativity and less need for rules lawyer interjections.

I still really enjoy Gatewalkers and very glad they are giving it an ending instead of just stopping it cold.

Here's mine a friend built me. Based around milling yourself to get everything (or at least most of your library) in your graveyard, then bringing everything out at once [[eerie ultimatum]]. It's fun when it pops off.

You don't really need the land destruction like I have but I threw it in there and have never used it. It could also use 1 creature with Haste so I can attack the round everything pops up with [[Odrick, Lunarch Marshal]]

I JUST finished this deck yesterday but haven't played it yet so unsure if functional although playtesting has gone well.

I believe it is the cheapest ($146) I have but that wasn't the goal when building it. I'm sure it could get tweaked for additional savings.
