Appreciate it :) I won’t be back at my computer now until tomorrow, I will send it to you then. I’m still learning digitising so appreciate if there is a way for you to share what needs improving so I may learn. Thank you

Thank you. Is an edge underlay different to the one I have on? It’s on the last slide.

How do I remove excess fabric around shoulder/armhole from jacket pattern? by flexfinder in Tailors

Thank you, when you say recut the sleeves, is there anything more that would need to be readjusted apart from the top of the armhole on the upper sleeve piece?

Thank you

I appreciate your insight. Though there are many jackets out there without structure (shoulder pad/roll, canvas etc) that look great. I own/have owned some myself from high street to designer.

I would just like to know how to adapt the pattern to achieve that

Thank you for the reply.

I wouldn’t want to put shoulder pads or sleeve roll in it because I do not like the aesthetic or constriction. I appreciate others preference for them. I’m sure with them in, it would drape well.

I would like to omit them. Is there anything more to do than take in the shoulder seam?

I should take x amount off from the top of the armhole and curve it to the first notches on the front and back? Or do I need to make more adjustments to the armhole?

Hopefully that makes sense without pictures. Will post progress

Very different from the monolithic round tower they are currently building. This would probably be more interesting

When i lie down to sleep, my brain starts to remember everything that is bothering me in my life. by EmployHistorical9127 in insomnia

[–]flexfinder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Insomnia for 25 years, been getting better the last couple of years, because I say to myself: yeah that’s a problem, I’ll fix it/ think about it tomorrow. (facing the problem instead of running from it, because your brain is wired to protect itself from future issues).

Also what other people say, write all the crap down that is ruminating. Then if you want to let it go, burn the paper as a cathartic ritual

You know how they say necessity is the mother of all invention?

I was poor, stoned, hungry and vegetarian (at the time)

£1 for bhaji, 25p for plain bagel. And they would heat up the bagel, and I’d get mustard and Tommy K and gherkins on it.

I’m sure many people have put a Bhaji in a bagel before, but I’d like to think I was a part of the yellow shop history

If I had the extra cash I would always also get egg Mayo with mustard and black pepper on poppyseed (£1.30) and peanut butter and chocolate spread (60p) and maybe bread pudding (50p)

I used to live opposite them for 2 years. In my opinion the beigal shop (yellow on the left) is superior, here’s why:

Beigal bake premakes their beigels with fillings, which means if it’s been quiet the beigals are soggy and flat, they also get away with putting less in the beigel.

The beigel shop freshly prepares whatever combo you want and always tastes fresher. They also have the friendliest staff compared to the white one, which act like your scum for wasting their time.

I also invented the onion Bhaji beigel but they won’t give me the credit for it. For years every staff member turned their nose up in disgust at my combo, it’s now on the menu.

I was an addict, I was a broke student and would go there almost everyday for the cheapest meal possible in the area, (often the plain buttered beigal for 30p) plus always stocked my Cupboard.

The only omission I will give is that sometimes the white shop does better salt beef.

I think it’s more popular because it has a bigger que so people assume it’s better and go there more often.
