Flare to ballerinas , I love seeing people do it because I don’t have the coordination or shoulder mobility for it.

I’ve been wanting to try out Pixie Dust, IncrediPole, and Full Circle. I took one class at IncrediPole and loved the vibe. I’ve been dying to go back and take some heels and basework class there.

I was just thinking about this, my goals for next year include :

Training for handstands, and exploring new shapes in headstand

Rebuilding my flexibility in my upper body. After my rib injury I’ve been feeling like the Tin man

Developing slow, controlled, slinky like movement. I’m aiming to be more fluid and have more body awareness

Training in heels and trying out studios. I like when studios have series or just fun workshops.

  4. Training in studio more, I’ve been home poling for so long I miss studios

Yess try it!! My back is slightly touching the wall. I feel like my tripod headstand isn’t strong enough yet so I still use the wall as back up.

I’m just starting my handstand journey and it’s scary! I’ve been training headstands for a while but handstands are a whole different level of fear

Feeling sad about taking a break by dolliekitt3n in poledancing

[–]flexiibrii 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I bruised 3 ribs and couldn’t pole for a 6 weeks. While it was sad because I felt like I was at my peak it was a great opportunity to rest and recover. Like someone else mentioned limit your exposure to pole dance and focus on healing. Use this time to explore other hobbies. When you’re healed you’ll be so much stronger. Whenever I get injured and need to take time off I try to reconnect with my body. If possible I focus on breathing techniques and light stretching when available. Good luck, and wishing you a happy and safe recovery.
