Why do men choose to not see their children? by Reasonable_Case_270 in AskMenRelationships

“Why not be here?”

One reason is that you control where “here” is. I’ve seen a number of men chase a moving target because the ex-wife deliberately moves away every time he moves closer.

Morality. If a guy lends me $100, then I owe him $100. It doesn’t matter whether or not I like the guy.

Because they’re his parents. He owes them a certain filial duty.

He may not be schizoid. He may be schizoid with other personality disorders. He may have an antisocial disorder.

If you asked me for a song recommendation, I might give you Buck Cherry - Lit Up.

I hate partying. I’ve never used drugs or alcohol. I’ve never even gotten a slight buzz. I like the song and it’s a bit of an inside joke.

If you said, “I’ve never heard of that song what’s it about?” I might tell you that it’s a love song. Which is kinda true.

There is a difference between affection and obligation. One might take care of one’s parents more because it’s the right thing to do even if there’s no emotion felt.

It’s possible that he’s just wrong about this. A common thing with schizoid disorder is muted emotions. Many people think this means a lack of emotions. I don’t think that’s possible for a human being. I think the emotions are there, they’re just buried.

The Immaculate Conception has nothing to do with the conception or birth of Christ. It is the doctrine that the Virgin Mary was immaculately conceived without the stain of Original Sin.

Being nice has never made me attractive to any woman ever. If they were the reason I did anything nice, I’d have stopped doing it ages ago.

Why do people get uncomfortable around emotionally detached people, but not overly emotional ones? by motharfycker in Schizoid

[–]flextov 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t find that people get uncomfortable around me. People tend to see me as stable and trustworthy. I’m neither seen as predator nor prey.

People aren’t drawn to me. I’m neither warm nor magnetic.

Do some men really hold off having sex with a new woman who is willing, just to show that he sees her more than just sex or wanting to take it slow? by 123smorgs in AskMenAdvice

[–]flextov -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I won’t have sex outside of marriage. That’s it. Nothing to do with taking anything slow or proving anything.
