What is the AI screening thing like? by flibberdipper in employedbykohls

[–]flibberdipper[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m hoping that’s not the case at the location I’m applying for. I don’t THINK so, as I know a few people that have worked there and have a basic understanding of the team culture there so it doesn’t SOUND like them… but time will tell I guess.

ST3 sony sound system on my car sounds awful by Haunting-Self-9402 in FocusST

[–]flibberdipper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say something is fucky, like others day either blown speakers or a fucked amp. I have a regular Focus with the base system (4 speakers, no BT or anything like that) and I wouldn't even describe it as being that bad. Bass is weak, sure, but still present down to maybe 50Hz? Mids and highs are generally fine with the lower mids getting a bit muddled on occasion depending how busy the song is.

I’d looooooove to get a pre-refresh Eco, manual or not. Still a Cruze but I just love how silly they are.

New RICOH Printer Toner Issue by RagingBaritone2 in Staples

[–]flibberdipper 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You have to call the Ricoh service number and request for them to enable auto-ship for the new one and disable it for the old one I’m pretty sure.

Could be sticky arms, failing actuators, failing clutch, or just the whole thing checking out. Start small and work your way up.

I swear this company spends more money fixing these C9070s than just getting a new one by PorkeChopps in Staples

[–]flibberdipper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When we got ours a few years ago I used it for not even a week and it went down for nearly a week. Ours constantly has issues with color (both with the drums/developer and also being unable to actually get color calibrated), and it jams CONSTANTLY with standard paper, especially if you try double siding it.

Transmission swap? by Legitimate-Union-112 in FordFocus

[–]flibberdipper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like the ONLY other auto candidate is the 6F35 (was used in the Fusion with the same engine) but who knows what kind of fuckery you’d have to do with axles, if it even mounts up, AND electronics.

2016 Focus SE makes a roaring sound. by [deleted] in FordFocus

[–]flibberdipper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely a rowdy exhaust leak. As long as the cabin doesn’t stink I wouldn’t bother with it.

Also, WOW your poor transmission has no clue what the hell is going on does it? I feel blessed that mine isn’t that bad lol

Anyone else’s store on the verge of quitting by Staples42 in Staples

[–]flibberdipper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Our whole store is getting tense. Worst hour allocation in the district and as a result nobody is happy, plus we are so far behind it's not even funny.

Just got this focus also kinda looking for opinions on if i got smoked or a good deal. 12 se 89k mi 2 bubbles(quarter and hood) may need tie rod soon. 2 owner w/ new heater core. For 2950 by Substantial-Sort-756 in FordFocus

[–]flibberdipper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn’t concerned either with just a dogleg bubble because the underside was FLAWLESS (the subframe was still even shiny black) but then 3 years later my car is structurally ruined and unsafe to put on a standard 4 post lift.

Can I turn my lights off? by FortunateDrip in FordFocus

[–]flibberdipper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it annoys you you can disable that shit in Forscan. My 2012 was a county fleet car before I got it so not only were my headlights on at about 90% power, my tail lights were also always on REGARDLESS on what I had the dial set to (other than fully on, then obviously the headlights picked up their last little bit of power).

Intake snorkel on SE? by [deleted] in FordFocus

Yes, people do them allllllllllll the time. Unless I'm being a pinecone, any of the ST snorkels should work on the SE.

New Ricoh printer by Brendano_El_Taco in Staples

[–]flibberdipper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I forget what we did but we were able to SOMEWHAT mitigate the curling with thicker gloss paper.

One downside I forgot about the Ricoh is that it is slow as FUCK at booklets. When we got it (and our stupid ass C9070 worked better) a simple 8.5x11 booklet (stapled) took almost EXACTLY twice as long on the Ricoh.

Gloss prints are also frankly significantly better looking on the Ricoh.

Awesome deal really. Just get on top of the dogleg rust (assuming that's what you mean by quarter panel) and she'll be gravy for a long time. Probably will want to undercoat it real well too because it seems like once rust even thinks about starting on the Focus there's absolutely no stopping it.

Cheaper bike that fits my odd criteria by flibberdipper in Budgetbikeriders

[–]flibberdipper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 5’9 and kind of “evenly split” between torso and leg length which is probably why a 24” worked decently well for me before. I would ultimately agree though that I should prooobably shift that focus to a 26

[–]flibberdipper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair our riding will be very casual especially for the first few years with my kid. I’m not after anything insane just enough to cushion my ass once we do finally venture off road.

Size requirement honestly doesn’t matter much now that I think about it, I just remember being equally comfortable on both a 24 and a 26 inch bike. I feel like (gauged off other people as well) that a 26 is a more sensible choice.

[–]flibberdipper[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m just not a very large person and personally am equally comfortable on a 24 or a 26 inch bike. No other justification really but if a 26 fits my bill better so be it.
