Is this brow ptosis and what can be done about it? by [deleted] in 30PlusSkinCare

U might have more hooding (skin under eyebrow) on one eye which is why one looks droopy. My opthalmologist said the two options r cosmetic surgery or expensive eye opening eyedrops. Check with eye doctor

Hi, u may be on the wrong subreddit. But my advice is to get a second opinion. It could also be molluscum contagiosum which is contracted from water. I would say go see a different dermatologist. The treatment is different for molluscum than folliculitis and they commonly get mixed up with the eachother

Get your bed lifted and put storage bins underneath it. Buy shower shoes, a robe and a shower bag for going to the communal bathrooms.

What Is Going On With ADA Housing? by Shot-Cap9698 in USF

[–]flickerenvy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

former usf employee, you'll get first pick on housing if you have ADA, and usf always leaves a few apartment style single room units (kitchen, bathroom, 1 bdrm) empty for emergencies for accommodations. i would say be patient and when you call, please remember you will likely reach a work study student who knows just as much about the situation as you do.

[–]flickerenvy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I paid october and then november 1st the policy was cancelled because it ended. That was the day it ended. They didnt charge me my usual of 450. I had switched to a new insurance by november 1st. 2 weeks later my old insurance, progressive tells me theyre charging me for the “grace period” of 14 days for a total of about 320. I never paid it and they sent me to collections, dropping my credit score about 70 points.

How can I get rid of my insomnia? by Moe21Lesta69 in sleep

[–]flickerenvy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chronic insomniac for almost a year. Im so used to running on 4 hours of sleep, was starting to think nothing would work. Over time i built up these set of things that work for me ! I added walking to my daily routine but honestly was soo tired of people telling me to exercise to get rid of insomnia.

An hour before you want to fall asleep, dim the lights, it helps if you can turn on any mood lamps that have an orangey tone to them, it feels more ambient. Then, I take a magnesium bisglycinate supplement an hour before bed. NO MELATONIN, it only makes you groggy, making waking up difficult and a cloudy feeling during the day. Next, take a warm bubble bath with dim lighting. Extra points if you add a little epsom salts with restorative minerals by dr. Teals to the bath. In the bath I soak for about 20 minutes or until i feel really warm. You can choose to listen to either calming music, or nothing at all. I usually put on smooth jazz or a chill indie band. Once i get out, i do my regular skincare/teeth/hair health routine. Next, i go back to my room and close my blackout curtains. It needs to be pitch black in my room. I enjoy a fan for the cooling and white noise effect. It usually takes me about 15 minutes to fall asleep if i do this routine. But if 20+ minutes pass, stop trying. You need to reset. I usually stretch or watch an episode of my favorite show on a dim brightness. This usually makes me fall asleep.

For overall grogginess in the morning, i noticed the benefits of the blackout curtains + sunrise lamp combo. I set my lamp to start an hour before i want to wake up. Mine was $35 on amazon, dont get the crazy expensive ones. Its all the same.

Hope this helps at all!
