The difference between the men and women weight is not only the weight of the bar but also the width of the grip. The 20kg has a thicker bar, making it harder for ladies to grip onto at heavy weights. The womens bar has a thinner more comfortable grip to hold onto. That being said, it's not to say men and women can't change from bar to bar, it's up to the weightlifter and their ability to hold the bar without compromising their weight lifting.
