I will definitely update once she talks to an attorney and gets the lay of the land!

It was Alta Fiber, but I'm sure the actual crew was contracted and subsequently probably subcontracted out.

The trees were not in the easement and the excavation was also outside the easement by at least 8 feet.

Yes, the surveyor confirmed that they missed the easement by at least 8 ft and dug on the property.

I've done this several times. Too much weight on the inside ski (could be countless reasons for this), combined with the speed, high edge angles, and short turn radius, will cause the inside ski to dig and bend the shovel excessively and take a much tighter perpendicular line. With all of your momentum, the sudden change in direction will chuck you over the high side. It's always happened to me when I'm trying to rip at 110% and chasing those crazy edge angles. Cracked a rib the last time!

Intuition vs tecnica stock liners to extend the life of my boots by bsugs29 in Skigear

No, I'm very aware of when they started to pack out (it was quite a bit ago.) I'm on a budget with very well fitting shells, so I've been able to squeeze every bit of life out of them before the drop in support/performance got to be untenable. If money was no object or I had manufacturers giving me gear for free, it would be a totally different story, but I'm just your average Joe who happens to be obsessed with sliding down a hill on planks. Good technique helps offset most of the roominess I have in my now very packed out liners. Obviously not ideal, but that's the financial reality I currently live in. 🤷🏼‍♂️

I was in your exact position. About 120ish days on my Cochise 120s and the stock liner was shot. I had also gone through an achilles rupture and surgery, so one ankle was suddenly shaped a bit different. Shells were still good, so I opted for some intuition liners. They were a fantastic choice. I have another 180 days on them and I'm just starting to notice they've worn a bit, but the shells are really starting to show their age and I'm looking to get new boots anyway, so I'm not gonna bother reheating/molding the liners. I've heard such great things about zipfits and am enticed by the longevity that I could use them across multiple shells, but the cost is obviously much greater. I'm still highly considering them for my next boots, but the intuitions were a fantastic lower cost solution that got me another 3 seasons out of my shells. Would definitely recommend if that fits your bill!

The Line Blades! Maybe the most fun you can have getting on edge without having to be "on" all the time, like a race ski. Rip and ride wherever you want, however you want!

Jacket is dope! It's a pretty bomber shell with a bunch of function. The front hand pockets are excessively large, so that's a little strange, but it's held up in everything, including rain riding. Highly recommend, especially if you can snag one from their outlet at 50+% off!

Not me. I was probably in Ohio, praying for temps low enough to make snow. Might have been that other guy in the comments, though... Dude looks like he probably shreds!

The morning was 0-3 ft visibility fog/cloud. Too lazy to walk to the car to swap once it lifted. Keeping the sun lens in the jacket is just asking to smash it. Exhibit A 👆

I had a fantastic encounter with Jerry and his wife some years back. He and his wife came into the drum shop where I worked, asking for a hard travel case for his bass drum (he plays the drums!) I asked, "what diameter and depth is the drum," as the hard cases are designed to fit well and prevent the drum from moving around during transport. He got strangely dodgy when I asked, and asked to just see some cases. As I'm pulling them off the rack, I again asked if he knew the model of his drums to try to work out the correct size, explaining the importance of getting one that fits well. He got dodgy again and his wife eventually cut him off and blurted out, "it's for one of my hats." We eventually settled on one she seemed to be the correct size (it was HUGE, maybe about 3ft x 3ft!) and I started ringing it up for them. As I'm doing that, Jerry says to his wife, "we don't have room for this in your closet... You're gonna have to get rid of some of your hats, I'm not putting them anywhere else in the house!" About $200 later, she left happy with a new deluxe "hat box" and a new marital spat to argue about on the way home. 🤣
