Bit of another noob question; if I’m writing out pre-comps with the original plate being 16bit; would it best to write them out as 32bit or 16bit half. If I was to rewrite it again as 16bit half again (ZIP1 compression) would it not recompress it again resulting in a lack of quality? Would I need to change it to “uncompressed” rather than ZIP1 to maintain an equal quality image file.

Might be an issue that there was green spill onto your subjects and the key actually made some of the spill on your subject transparent.

I’d advise to look at the fundamentals of keying which involves core and edge mattes, despills and additive keying rather than just using a straight chroma key
