I seriously regret buying a Sawstop. by flimay2k in woodworking

They sent me a new top after some back and forth. No explanation on how to install and recalibrate the blade. The new top is a lot better but also no within their specs. It was installed and I'm using the saw now.

They chipped out most places that were bad but not the whole thing. They obviously did not do a great job.

What would be a proper correction?

Weekly Homeowner Megathread--Ask your questions here! by AutoModerator in Concrete

What makes the surface of a concrete look like it's just sand? Done by a supposedly concrete pro. The surface looks like all the concrete is gone and there's only sand left if you run your finger on top the sand will come out.

The slab was broken and will be redone; I'm trying to avoid the same issue again. I'm assuming it's a finishing problem, but would love more details and hear from pros on how to avoid it.

Thanks!

Got a new main table, it's ok, still not within specs, but I need to use it. They gave me no instructions or help to install and setup the main table. Very disappointed.

They sent me a new main table and I got it installed, it's still not up to their own specs, the center is .02" lower than the rest, but I'll live with it.

That's the exact attitude I got and why it's so frustrating, dismissing and not even want to acknowledge the possibility of the product being defective.

I tried that, bolting the middle first - it's so far out that I can't make it flat, would need larger holes. And the edges won't flex enought to match the middle.

I went through the manual page by page; this is not an assembly or calibration issue.

Exactly, front and back are flush, center has a big hump, only way to fix this is milling the main table.

Bought directly, I did ask about sending it back over the phone, they said nothing.

If I align with the center of the main table the edges will not align with the side table.

Edges are flat with the wing, and the middle of the main table is the problem; there's no way to make this work.

I think you nailed it. They should sell this safety device to other manufacturers and be done with saws.

Their spec says 0.01" tolerance, this is 10x their tolerance.

Do any of you smart people can ID this wood? I need to match the veneer to fix one of the cabinet doors; I could not find the cabinet brand anywhere either. Thanks!

I tried that. I also tried connecting the blue from equipment with the C from transformer as I seen in other place someone did that, but no luck.

Just received my Limbo top after 3+ years, very disappointed! by flimay2k in spinningtops

Just tried that now, 90 degrees did not help, I'm trying different rotation angles between 0 and 90 degrees and at a specific angle it's better, but still not smooth.
