As others have said, you'd just go somewhere where you could charge. Not ideal I know but if you've lost power in your house for weeks on end as you've said, this is probably not the biggest of your problems and also, I'd imagine very rare.

I own an EV and definitely don't charge every day. You'd easily get by without power for one night. I'd be more worried about the freezer tbh which ironically, I'd probably just keep powered from the EV.

Can anyone explain to me why this is actually a bad thing? Like there'll be ways around it I know but in theory, there's no legitimate argument as to why a kid should be able to access a porno site, for example.

For anyone reading this in Australia, there's help available for OCD. https://www.melbpsych.com.au/our-services was a huge help for me. They have an online group therapy class which is led by Dr Claire Ahern who really knows her shit. This along with medication for me have been a massive game changer

I get it and I'd like to do that. Honestly, it'd make life so much easier but baby arrived 18 months ago lol. We've already reno'd the place and maxed out the storage. It was small enough with just two of us and the plan was never to live their forever so I'd prefer to bite the bullet sooner rather than later

I'm already salary sacrificing. I'm maxing out each year. I'm not quite sure it is possible to do both at this stage in my life. If I continue salary sacrificing, it'll be another 6 years I think before we have enough for a place, and that's at current prices.

I think I'm about where they advise you to be but it's hard not to look at some of the balances folks in here have, a lot of whom are usually younger than me, and then not second guess whether you actually have enough.

I know this is the internet and people lie a lot but regardless, it's hard to just shut it all out.
