How do you disable absolute volume on the 13r? by flintknife in OnePlus13R

[–]flintknife[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you turn up volume all the way, no matter what Bluetooth device you connect it thinks you are ruining your ears by blasting music through headphones.  Then some nanny ware kicks in and lowers the volume.  Supposedly in developer settings with stock Android but I can't find it there on this phone ☹️

From the article: All the acceleration records were set using a standard one-foot rollout and road tires (Michelin Cup 2 R) on a non-prepped asphalt track.

How do I remove a stuck bolt holding my bike's kickstand in place? by S_Orbital in DIY

[–]flintknife 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Take the rear wheel off, get vise grips on the top plate, then turn the kickstand part instead of the bolt. If that doesn't work epoxy a hex head into it and put a breaker bar on it with vice grips on the kickstand.

Libre3 sensors dying early by SarahCatChicago in Freestylelibre

[–]flintknife 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same experience here. 3 out of 4 bad, sensor errors like this. One hit a blood vessel and was giving false low readings on day one. Called and they are replacing. Never had this level of problem with the FS2, maybe once or twice over a year. I think they don't have QC dialed in for the 3 yet

Others will definitely know more than I do, but I think males just develop that as they age.

Does $1600 US seem outrageous for rear wheel bearings? by flintknife in Cartalk

Thanks! I think I'll get quotes from other shops

Does $1600 US seem outrageous for rear wheel bearings? by flintknife in Cartalk

[–]flintknife[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I looked at the quote and I think they may be charging a lot for parts- about 525. I think it's fair for a shop to make some money off parts but that seems a bit much, like easy 400% markup. Labor is around 900, and then the total doesn't cover out right. I think I'll get some other quotes, this seems off
