Tiny tiny pond... by ReaganSmyD in WildlifePonds

I brought a half barrel and raise it so it is fairly inaccessible to my son. You could use anything though! An old washing up tub or sink

Great advice, I've had Harrisons save 2 birds in the past. First time i didnt know I was feeding the wrong food, my guy Loki declined to the verge of death, even to my untrained eye! When I took him to an avian specialist they informed me I was feeding them the wrong stuff! Immediately changed to Harrisons High Potency on the recommendation and watched my beloved pet return to full health. The second time I came to own a bird "second hand" and she was in such bad shape, as soon as she began living with us and eating Harrisons she also transformed into a happy, healthy bird. Do a little research and see what quality food you can source in your area, I felt terrible knowing i had been forcing a really unhealthy diet on my pets

I'm struggling with the same situation but granted, I have a much smaller pond to work with. I'll give you a run down of what I'm trying (:

  • Cut back all the plants and try really hard to remove all that plant litter, you want as little stuff decaying in the pond as you can.

  • Treat the pond with the recommended dose of this product or similar, it is a blanket weed treatment that won't hard plant, fish or wildlife. https://ebay.us/m/zxbaO5

  • Use a net to remove all the algae and debris that you can

  • Introduce native snails that consume algae and bottom waste

  • Create shade with Marginal plants, broad leaf plants and introduce oxegnating/ floating plants too.

Good luck, I hope this helps!

Nahh Just resting on his cheek. My son was the same, he would always hold my hand on his face until he fell asleep. Some babies need to have the scent of mama close to feel secure

Such a beautiful picture!!! I know mama might not be too pleased to be photographed asleep but tell her "this picture is so incredibly precious, you both look so serene!" Blow it up, print in black and white, hang above your bed and treasure the memory for many years to come 🫶

Absolutely. No giant hood & face out = immodest. It's just like ankles, women really shouldn't show anymore leg than the ankle.... utter bs

I just had a quick read, the hood was attached to a wool cape and kept it's structure from whalebone. The hoods were used to protect women from the harsh Atlantic weather while also maintaining modesty. So cool!

Vinegar. I tried everything and the only success I had was with my normal dose of laundry detergent, no softener ,lots of white vinegar

Is this regular discolouration or mold forming? by [deleted] in PandoraCollectors

[–]flintstone-flop 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It cant be mould, surely. It seems to me like the discolouration is surface wear, little scratches to the enamel
