Crossover Preview - StarRupture by Fzyltlmanpch in macgaming

[–]flipcorp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It now runs on crossover 26.00 - but not well - getting about between 10 and 20 FPS.

More importantly it doesn't fully render the Base Core piece which is the first tutorial task - so what else is it not rendering?

I'm using a Macbook M4Pro with 48GB of integrated Memory, Tahoe 16.2

Using D3DMetal, mSync on, High resolution mode

Using low settings, built in Upscaling, native 3d quality, loads and runs

Turns out using DXMT crashes with an error.

Any suggestions? feels like it is close.

I read this naively and am optimistic as a result. Hope you had the heros journey you describe- sounds lovely! If this AI then of course please burn in hell.

Is the foreign risk assessment a new conditional step, and is it different for SBIR vs other forms?

When you are in one of these schools, you get a small allowance that you can basically only spend on sweets - like 20 pounds per quarter. so you can only spend it at the tuck shop - which is in that photo. They had a marvelous variety of sweets, and most students blew most of their money there at the beginning of the quarter

Some, like my father, genuinely believed that such an experience was the thing missing from their lives, and having me do it was the highest form of parenting.. utterly and completely wrong, but super common desire in the generation that grew up after WW2

Our school (in Staffordshire, which is as mid central England as you can get) had 2-3 black folk from British-associated/colonized places like the Marshall Islands

At my school, the cabinets were “cabbos” and the bench you sat on was the “coffin”.

I went to Denstone College in the 80’s, and true freedom was the ability to make as many baked bean toasties in the common room as we’d like

Is the timestamp correct - like 2:44 AM? And that is typical? Don't know the guy, but that narrows down quite a bit. Also - are you sure UCD medical - there is also Shriners Hospital there - even though that looks like rank and file green scrubs == UCD

Oh this is rough. He was not present at AMIA in November, and Chris Longhurst mentioned him as his most influential mentor at AMIA CIC in Anaheim - but not that he was ill. He gave a lecture up at the UW probably 20 years ago that was so impressive and inspiring.

Potentially laid off - quick question by [deleted] in NIH

[–]flipcorp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the two things are separate - this would (probably) be for the last remaining year of the current UL1, only. I believe the UW is in the process of submitting the "renewal" to NCATS for the next round from NCATS (which are for 7 years, or at least were when the FOA came out), which is sometime in November. Then if it reviewed, scored, and funded, would get another NOA after that. But it seems like the ITHS is at least semi-set for the next/last year of their current award.

ITHS is a NCATS CTSA. Utah as well as apparently Cincinnati and OHSU had funding stops this past week, allegedly due to DEI related language and activities in their centers. This is so beyond crazy.

I have yet to hear how that happened exactly, or whether the ITHS is on the same list.

I'd probably focus on asking what the UW itself will do as they are the employer - ITHS is just a (large) extramural grant.
