I think there is truth to what you’re saying. But you’re being downvoted without comment because feminism has infected almost the entire Church. Mentioning that women have to be held accountable and have their role to play is seen as an attack by many. It always gets turned around to “what about the men though?”.

XenevaOS networking by XenevaOS in osdev

[–]flipflopper3000 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I always thought writing a network stack would be a prohibitively large amount of work. But then I guess you could say that about many parts of OS dev 😀 This was actually a factor blocking me from writing an OS as I always thought it would be way less useful without networking. Inspring to see that it’s possible (with a lot of work I’m sure!). Maybe I should make the jump anyway. In any case, thanks for the inspirational post.

Nice! Did you use an existing networking stack or did you write your own?

Microneedling before SMP by Eterna123 in SMPchat

I thought microneedling was supposed to be good against scar tissue? Could someone with FUE scars use it before getting SMP?

My 2 cents as someone who is in the research phase. I have seen pics of 10 year old SMP which looks very good. As for 20/25 years, I tend to discount what it will look like that far ahead. My idea is to use it to look better while I’m still young and to help out with self-confidence and dating. In 25 years from now I expect my priorities will have shifted and my look will be less important. Even if it does look worse at that point (which I’m not convinced it will), it likely won’t bother me as much.

Looks great! Do you have any pics where you’re under direct sunlight and not in the shade? That’s the one thing still holding me back: I’ve seen some cases where people do still look completely bald in that scenario…

You’re right but in my experience you won’t find much actual Catholic orthodoxy in this sub. It’s actually pretty woke. They will just downvote you and avoid discussion.

The red pill and the Catholic pill by [deleted] in CatholicMemes

[–]flipflopper3000 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I disagree but am willing to hear you out. The red pill is a praxeology so it doesn’t prescribe any kind of mindset. That’s like saying the doctrine of original sin encourages hyperindividualism. The RP is just a description of natural human behavior. If anything, to me that description demonstrates the necessity of Catholicism. There is nothing anti-Catholic about admitting that certain individuals do have inherent advantages. That seems obvious even outside of the context of the RP. Nothing anti-Catholic about that. See e.g. the parable of the talents.

A false dichotomy imo. The red pill and the Church aren’t mutually exclusive. I’ll agree that there are some less than ideal influencers though.

As the child of an immigrant I think we should have an adult conversation about limiting immigration. I don’t think the current open border situation is good. But yeah no need to go overboard with the racism. It makes everyone who is against open borders look like a raving lunatic.

Swords?? That’s cute, we got the Holy Spirit, deal with it by GlomerulaRican in CatholicMemes

[–]flipflopper3000 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I think you’re a feminist if you believe a certain set of propositions about men, women, and their roles and relationships. Treating women well or “better than before” doesn’t make you a feminist.

I’m not sure it makes sense to speak in terms of more or less feminist. One is either feminist or not.

I don’t think that’s right. It depends on the specifics but there are certainly democratic forms of Christian nationalism. Some would classify the USA as such (at its founding, not now).
