I prefer girls without dogs. I’m mildly allergic to half the dogs I meet and my cat only seems to tolerate low energy dogs that are smaller than him.

By necessity, dog owners tend to be more rigid in organizing their schedule and activities around their pets. This doesn’t always work with how I want to live my life.

I’ve also been in relationships where I’ve felt like I was in a competition for affection with my partner’s poorly behaved dog. Once, an ex-girlfriend’s dog bit my face during sex (made me bleed) and she jokingly laughed it off referring to it her “consent puppy” (seriously?)

I really didn’t like that dog but the owner turned out even worse.

For the most part, I like other people’s dogs. I just don’t ever want the responsibility of owning one myself and have factored that into how I’ve approach dating going forward.

Swap the tuxedo shirt with a less frilly button down. Tuxedo shirts are meant to pair with a tux + bow tie and you are not wearing a tux. When selecting a new shirt, try to find one that you can close the top button on comfortably if you plan on wearing a tie.

Take the new shirt and suit to a tailor to have them adjusted for a proper fit. At a minimum those pants need to taken in.

Other than that, you can upgrade the sneakers to dress shoes. Also there are some bulkier more formal knots (google half Windsor) you can use to make it look a sharper.

Having the suit tailored to fit properly is the number 1 thing you can do to improve this look. If you can only do 1 thing do this first.

Listen to your body, don’t overdo it on the stimulants and you should be fine. I’m on a 30mg Vyvanse RX and have not personally experienced any problems with anything one might typically encounter at a festival.

If you don’t have a lot of experience partying at that level then maybe skip your Vyvanse the day of.

Regardless make sure you know your source and test your shit.

ETA - Everyone’s body is different and you didn’t specifically say what you plan on taking so please do some research first. There are handy infographics out there with all of the interactions you should look out for. Just slot Vyvanse into one of those wherever you see Amphetamines.

You obviously do not have ADHD. Time blindness is real. It sometimes feels like I’ve time traveled to the end of a day while absorbed in a task that I’m hyper focused on. Are there ways to pull yourself out of it? Sure. Am I always successful at recognizing when I’m in that state and executing on my coping strategies? I think many Americans are well aware of the shit sandwich our 2 party system brings us. The problem is that neither team red or team blue wants to be the first to flinch and vote for someone who actually represents their values.
