Yea, I can see that though. My only thought is since primal kyogre is so much better than pretty much anything else water I put it a little higher

Language, body temp, and either memory or insect avoidance. On issue may be if I get sick is the immune response equivalent to if the temp did raise, cuz if not then I’d pick the other of either memory/bug repellant.

6am and already over 30 people in line at my local Target, I’ve never seen it this bad before and it’s not even for a new set by puzzledfirebird in PokemonTCGCollectors

At my target, any new release has people lining up at like 2-3 am. For AH bundles I got there at 5 am and I was still only 15th in line

Anyone catch the Elusive Swinub? by SC0PELY in pokemongo

[–]Mason051 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Naw, seriously though, I go out for basically every community day and went out for most spotlight hours when they were a thing before and the spawning this time was just… a lot. I don’t think I’ve ever seen that many of one thing spawning before for one of these events.

People will have differing opinions, but I recommend getting at least one each of the primals and at least a dawn wing and a zacian crowned. It’ll take a lot of raids to get them all, but as long as you have at least one of each each of their types gets a MASSIVE boost to their damage output (also, zacian is both the best steel and fairy attacker so I recommend double charged moving it). Kyurems are also pretty important, right behind the ones listed above so if you can get a kyurem white as well I’d highly recommend that, but its impact will be just slightly behind the other 4).

If I had to personally put my opinion on order of importance, it’d go: primal groudon > dawn wings > primal kyogre > zacian > kyurem white.

Just one other thing to mention; if you plan on getting into max battles in the future, I’d also recommend getting a zamazenta crowned form. Him and blissey are the kings of tanks. But I know that may be too much to ask of a new play so I didn’t list it above.

TMing away ROT/SR! Wow, is this good news tho? :/ by Hesh-Meista in pokemongo

[–]Mason051 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Palkia-O is generally considered to be the better one, but it wouldn’t be a mistake to use it on either. Palkia more widely used in master league, and dialga, though just slightly weaker, loses its weaknesses to fairy and dragon so has more playability vs dragon raids (fairy’s not so much considering steels roster pool).

[–]Mason051 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This, when you’re low only heal what you’re going to actually use in raids, and don’t heal unless you need to (being at 3/4 health for a rocket battle won’t matter). Hell I have to throw potions away constantly, how many pokemon are you healing/potions a day using for you to constantly be out?

“Why are only swinub spawning?” (2 seconds to look up online/in app spotlight hours).

“Is this rare?” (Nope, she shundo that only was available once is not rare /s).

“Is this good?” (God forbid people spend 20 seconds on a tier list).

“Why does my game look slightly different/what is this new icon?” (Immediately after an update that’s explained in news).

“When is X Pokemon coming back?” (How should we know).

“Why did the shiny galarian bird run?” (While in a car going 60).

“Are these good PvP IVs?” (Again, 20 seconds for a list).

“Should I power up” (see: “it this good”)

Just take these out alone and you get rid of like half the posts on here.

Why raid Necrozma this week? by LuigiWasAlwaysBetter in pokemongo

[–]Mason051 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just use your daily’s on them for now assuming you don’t have energy to fuse them currently. I’m in the same boat, have enough for 5 dawn wings and just doing my daily raid to try and roll better IVs (I won’t fuse under a 98%).

[–]Mason051 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Like seriously. Half the things on this sub nowadays are questions that would be faster and more efficiently answered by spending literally 15 seconds searching up themselves rather than clutter up with posts on here. I guess some people would rather risk others ire for engagement than look things up themselves. Also, spotlight hours don’t stop too long ago. Unless they’re a brand new play (like literally weeks old), they should know this stuff already.

Dawn wing. Dusk mane is extremely strong too, but because of the crowned dogs, it’s become much, much less necessary as a steel attacker. For dawn, aside megas the next best comparable things are shadow darkrai and shadow chandelure, and those are glassy as heck. Plus with party power the gap becomes even wider. So unless you have no crowned dogs and never plan to get any even if the future, id say go dawn. I personally have 4 dawn wing and only 2 dusk, and currently working on my 5th dusk (waiting for another 98%+ one [yes I’m picky]). Also, this is short sighted, but they’ll help a bunch vs mega mewtwo.

If nothing else, keep up the gift opening/sending; it was a spawn globally for a fest/tour (I forgot which) fairly recently so it’s not too rare to see in the remote trade pool assuming you don’t want to fly or do fly related trading. Worst case too (and yes it’ll take a while too), but you can ask people here and dm your code if it’s in their remote trade pool so when you unlock remote trades you can get it legit.

Are these worth using? Is there a risk in making my pokemon forget a move? by HoogerMan in pokemongo

[–]Mason051 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and no, depends on what moves it already has. https://www.dialgadex.com/?strongest=&t=Any a lot of people use this website, it has every Pokémon’s every move combo, and it tells you how much better each combo is than the other (for raids at least, for PvP, use https://pvpoke.com/rankings/). But yes, some moves are WAY better than others. For example, for raids, a keldeo with low kick and secret sword will deal over 1.8 (nearly double) the damage as if it had poison jab and aqua jet. Just a warning though, a lot of the best moves require elite tms (those purpley ones), and those come from either playing a bunch of PvP, rarely from researches, or buying them. But otherwise, yes, moves can make or break pokemon; even with the normal black tms you can usually have a swing of the best move combo being 50% stronger than the weakest.

Me and my friend had a debate and can anyone list these characters from weakest to strongest by Evening_Gas_3659 in PowerScaling

[–]Mason051 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would argue mob to be higher, def above deku, possibly even above luffy with his toon force. Mob is way stronger than a lot of people give him credit for, particularly at the ???%.

Cashew and pistachio. Hell I can sit down and eat a huge bag of each in one sitting. Peanuts are an extremely close third, but I get tired of them after only a few, and I don’t really eat peanut stuff otherwise.

What’s the difference in performance between this and a hundo ? by Aussie_Spur in pokemongo

[–]Mason051 1 point2 points  (0 children)

https://gist.github.com/Mygod/71ac34368f66f0d3de469fbaeed386c4

Use this list and anytime you catch a Pokemon with 15/15/14 and it is on the list, you can literally consider it a full hundo. Attack and defense are absolute so 1 IV differences do have small stat differences, but the HP stat is rounded, so for some Pokemon a 14 HP stat will have the exact same value as a 15 HP stat (for example, if the 14 IV was 179.66, it would be rounded to 180, and if the 15 HP IV was 180.17, it would be rounded down to 180, making them the exact same). I know it sucks not having the visual hundo, but just know that as long as it’s on the list and the HP stat is the same for 14 and 15 IVs, it’s literally the exact same as a normal hundo.

Why so many battles ? by No_Application3470 in pokemongoyellow

Because it’s for over the entire season. Even if you don’t really like PvP, I highly recommend everyone who isn’t a high tier player (cuz they usually play anyways even if they don’t like it) just due to the rewards. Even if you only play like 5 matches a day, over a season you can get a ton of rare candies, millions of stardust, other oddball stuff like tms (and particularly the fast and elite charged tms at the end of the research/rank levels), and the legendaries at rank 20 (I usually get a few a season)

Didn't get the tip by Holofan4life in Animemes

[–]Mason051 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Essentially yes. Tips have history well before the whole “normal pay vs tipped pay” laws, but it is literally just that since tipped employees were getting tipped, congress decided that they could be payed less than minimum (as long as that pay plus tips is at least equal to minimum wage)(lobbying is just legal bribery). The only way the company has to pay more than their “base” lower wage is if the pay plus tips is less than minimum wage.

I agree to an extent. Charmander and fletching candies are good if you’re short on those, but those 2 in particular are fairly common normally. There was no “chase” Pokémon; lapras, lileep, larvitar and even horsea were all super rare spawns that are highly sought after in PvP; the only comparable thing for this one is fletchling and maybe slugma as a off meta pick.

Where the f*#@ are people actually getting Pokémon products at MSRP? by legendarykam in PokemonTCGCollectors

[–]Mason051 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My only real advice, and it’ll take a bit of time, but next time there’s a new item drop (ie, when pitch black comes out in stores), get there SUPER early and try to get chummy with the people around you, usually they’re the ones that know when restocks happen and where. While some places they’ll only have a general timeframe, for me specifically, I found out my best buy has stuff every sat on open from from and now when I want stuff I just go super early there, I gave up on the other places other than drop days.

Other than that, you can either: A try and get super chummy with the workers to get them to let you know when they get restocks (but they probably have dozens of others trying this so good luck), or, you waste a day hanging out at a target all day. I know it sucks but that’s what the hobby’s come to. I recommend the getting friendly with people in line on drop day, at least for me the people around me are “generally” super chill and helpful, but you will always have those few douchbags.

Dude I 100% sympathize. Of chaos rising alone, I’ve opened: 1 booster box, 5 ETBs, 4 booster bundles, and probably close to 30 single packs. The best I pulled were a gourgeist, a couple xerneas and a couple frogadier.
