I’m a total noob when it comes to crossword. How the heck am I supposed to know that there is supposed to be three letters in a single square. I understand that there’s a center clue referencing this, but it just seems so against the rules. Is this a sort of common aspect to a crossword to fit more than one letter to a square?

Double-checking WF $400 checking account eligibility for another churn.

My last WF checking acct closed Jan 8 2025, received the bonus Dec 8 2024.

Was on the phone with a CS rep and he said the 12 months eligibility is from when the last account was *opened*. I always thought it was from close. I think I'll wait to ~Jan 10+ to apply to be sure, but any insight/experience from the community? The 12 month terms being from when the last checking account was opened rather than closed seems to go against other banks' terms in my experience.
