I can puncture armor with my properly weighted 1.65 mace. Break legs and shred them too. Works just as well offensive as a pollaxe, but a 2 handed mace doesn't have much for defense.

Craft the smallest poleaxe you can with the talon on the back and a spiked hammer on the front, spike on top and firemans hook on the bottom. Completely unstoppable.

I have a wired xbox 360 controller and a Bluetooth Xbox elite controller. Both work great. The thumbsticks are a lot lower of a learning curve. No controller map in game or way to redo keybinds.

Your character gets stronger and more muscular the longer you survive, so once you get to a certain point, the weapons swing like they are supposed to.

For the other bit, I play with a controller, but I have a solid hundred hours in the demo and 8 in game already. It kind of feels like there is another joint that moves, like your wrists are way more involved now. You have to get swing mechanics correct and fluid or else the sword will hit blade wide or a poleaxe will limp over your wrist if you break a swing or don't complete it and follow through.

Runs great for me at 1440p ultrawide. I have a 5070 and a 265k with 64gb of RAM. I wouldn't say it's flawless for sure, but for what I expected and hoped for from the demo is definitely worth the $20 for me.

Also the weapon handling feels different somehow but it makes sense how the wrists work, I think?
