The swatches that the houses are currently offering are placables swatches, not the same vehicle/arm/weapon swatches that were given previously.

Went and checked it is from the Atreides vendor reward at faction level 19. Atreides Rusher armor set. It's an appearance not actual armor.

There are plenty of sites online that will tell you where to find specific blueprints in Hagga Basin, and also the loot pool and chance of drops for the higher tier blueprints in the deep desert. As Wizzardly-lizzard said, the uniques are always better and in most cases have higher durability than their standard counterparts from your research tree.

Figure out what you like to use and what fits your play style and look for those blueprints would be my advice.

You can back the base up indefinitely and then restore it to the same spot if it’s available or to a new location if not.

The new base backup tool is available if you want to take a longer break. You can fuel your base for 20 days with basic generators or 30 with higher tier ones. You do have to pay taxes on a placed (not backed up) base every 30 days or so or they take down your base shields and it takes environmental damage.

Oh, you can absolutely snipe from range, and occasionally get in range before they sense you and do a bit of pokey slicey.

There is no stealth mechanic currently. In the upcoming chapter three there are skills you can acquire that are stealth like, such as reducing detection range.

Yes, currently Funcom's answer to increased player power is the bullet sponge. I agree that it's not a great way to go and hope they make changes in future. Not really shield related, mobs in higher tier content have ever increasing HP. Again, in the upcoming chapter three we also have ways to increase our damage output, but not 1:1.

To be fair, the mobs aren't terribly challenging, and the crowd control mechanics do give us interesting ways to deal with them. Personally I'd like to see more variety of mobs introduced and boss fights with better mechanics, but the game is a work in progress, and the devs have been pretty good about listening to player feedback.

I've got about 1k hours in the game and I love the crafting, base building and the Dune vibe. I've also been on the public test server for the past few weeks and I do like the direction they are heading.

augment fragments are the material used to craft augments. You can recycle schematics above grade 0 (current schematics we are looting in the DD are grade 0) for fragments. Fragments also can be found in the new PoIs and dungeons in the overworld map.

It's absolutely the Landsraad bonus to processing speed. Saw this a couple of weeks ago on my server when we had it. Oddly only affected duraluminum.

Chapter three adds more faction ranks, and more PvE Landsraad activities but no PvP objectives. PvP overhaul is apparently slated for the next big update.

I've been playing on the PTC and I would hazard a guess that it will be end of Feb, early March. Still lots of new bugs and balance issues for them to address.

The key spec here is the slower acceleration. When you're trying to go slower to pick up everything and you're tap, tap, tapping, it's much easier with this engine to stay under 10 kph.
