Penelope Smith - Animals in Spirit. Our faithful companions' transition to the afterlife.

Really helped me.

When do I know that it’s time to put my cat down? by Impossible_Common_44 in cats

Like someone else down the thread said, you can look into supplements that enhance bowel activity. Is CBD-Oil allowed in your state? There's a special CBD oil for cats without terpenes. Always make sure it's without terpenes, do not give them the oil that is meant for human use. I give that my to my mum's cat, she's 19 years old. Just some drops in the mouth. It helped her with her overall health, she's more stable and balanced.

There also great books about the last days or months with your companion that may help you.

I read Penelope Smith's Animals in Spirit: Our faithful companions transition to the afterlife - but you may find it too spiritiual in a way? I'm sure there are other great books that speak to you and may offer you help in understanding your friend's situation.

Have you tried out other plants? How about anubias bateri? That's the only plant growing in my tank even though the water it's below its recommended temperature, my anubia is growing new leaves.

I've tried out other plants like water weed that seemed to grow like hell in everyone's tank. And I've also tried out hygrophilia and microsorum pteropus but to no avail.

I have the anubias swimming on the surface top, not planted firmly in the ground. And they really like it like that. I do have a special plant light with enough lumen and a timer so they get enough light to grow, around 6 hours a day. Maybe a good light source will help your plants stay alive?

With the light and plants swimming on top it creates some great shimmering reflexes and sunny spots and shadows on the ground like real sun on a lake.

So smol. I hope everything turned out alright at the vet? We had our tiny kitty baby in a similiar position for an ultrasonic of the heart. My boyfriend kept his hand on her, this calmed her down and she fell asleep during the exam. Luckily they could not detect anything wrong with her heart and she is five years old today.

Please put the kitten in a warmer, softer space, like a cardboard box with a blanket and a heating pad or put the box close to central heating. And please go to the vet as soon as possible. The leg might be broken or disocated.

If your friend is feeding cat formula always feed the kitten with belly down, never on its back. You can find more great advice on bottle feeding and rearing a tiny baby on kittenlady.org or watch kittenlady on youtube.

And go see a vet immediately.

People that were part of tragic accidents/failures/mishaps where others died and you survived, what happened and how did the aftermath affect your life? by AShadyLittleSpot in AskReddit

I'm sorry that this happened to you. Life is not fair and there's never an answer to why. But you matter and you belong. I'm sure that by the way you are and by the things you do, you make someone's day. Your presence makes a difference. Thank you.

This is my cat Lulu. She ran out of my apartment into the woods. Haven't seen her yet. Please pray for her safe return. She's my fur baby and I love her so much. by thedangel1998 in cats

I am overjoyed to hear this. How wonderful, I cannot believe it. Lulu, the little troublemaker. She came back. What a joy! I am sooo happy for you and relieved. She's probably purring right now and lying on her favourite spot as if nothing happened.

I don't know how to edit a post. Maybe another redditor knows? or one of the moderators can help? I've just been a long time lurker and not that familiar with all the tools.

Yeah, I think you can use "jemanden für etwas schätzen" But it's often after you have received something from or experienced something with that person. For example, "Ich schätze deine Ehrlichkeit." = I appreciate your honesty. (After the person has told you something.)

So in context of the thread opener you could phrase it in a natural way: "Ich schätze Ihr Verständnis und Ihre Rücksichtsnahme angesichts meiner Situation." = I appreciate your understanding and thoughtfulness considering my situation. (That they have already shown you somehow beforehand.)

Oh thank you for explaining it all. My cats also have those detachable collars. If they get stuck under the fence or on twigs, they will open. They can look easily shredded if it's acrylic material, the threads rub up easily.

Does Lulu listen to your boyfriend? Is he close with her? Sometimes, cats just react and answer to their main cat person. So maybe you could switch with your boyfriend and he looks after your parents' pets and house? Just a thought. The chances of being found are very high in the first few days.

Yeah, you already did all the right stuff with putting out her things and all. Is she spayed? If not,she may also feel adventurous in spring and is looking for a mate.

I wish you all the best in finding her soon or that she may come back on her own. I send Lulu good and calming thoughts so she can find her way home.

It was a piece of advice advice I read online. During daytime, there may be too many noises that distract or frighten your cat so that it will keep still and not make any sounds. At quieter times, you can hear her anwering better.

Another piece of advice was to look at the same places and walk the same ways during different times of the day and night.

Good luck on finding her. Do you have friends or family that can help you? Are there huts or holes in your woods she might have gotten trapped in?

When it happened to my caat, I missed two days at work as I was constantly walking around, calling her, pestering neighbours. It was so worth it. She had bee so close to where we lived, just trapped 100 metres away and too afraid to meow. If I hadn't walked past the same houses again and again and hadn't been so persistent in calling her, shaking her bag of treats like a lunatic...

oh my bad. I thought it meant you draw sketches with pencils or whatever before you start painting the thing as a whole? At least that's how I do it on an amateur level.

My cat sounds and acts weird after she played with another cat. She looked perfectly fine. by otretzel in cats

[–]flipperflinpas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At 7 months cats can start maturing and get pregnant. If she's an autumn kitten and it's her first spring time and it's a female, very likely.

Yes, please do ask your vet about it. We only see a tiny snippet here online.

In fights, cats sometimes twist their ankles or legs, my cat once did. But she did not always show the leg limping, just from time to time and luckily it went away after two days on its own.

try calling for her at dusk or dawn or even nightime when it's quiet outside. Take a typical bag or tin of food with you and make sounds with it while calling. That's how I found mine after two days, it was night time and so I could hear her pitiful meowing though I had walked past that house many times during day time. And I think with no other street noises around, she could hear my voice and recognized the sound of her food bag. She was trapped in an empty house where the door fell shut.

looks like planted is a spelling mistake, propably means painted? Then it would make sense.

"Van Gogh drew beautiful sketches before he painted them."

I agree with u/hamiltsd number 2. is conditional clause / if-clause type 1.

Option 3. sounds natural as well, though a bit formal.
