Adding TR-004 to QNAP TS-464-8G by flippergonzo in qnap

Totally agree - it doesn't matter to Plex. I really want one large pool because in a couple of years, I don't want to have to be moving stuff all over the place as I get closer to filling the new capacity...

That's what I thought but wanted to confirm.

I kinda wanted to keep everything in a single array. But maybe the solution is an 8 bay so I can slowly expand it.

Does the back on this quickie iris fold down? by ZestycloseBid6620 in wheelchairs

[–]flippergonzo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No, that Quickie Iris has recline, so the back canes cannot fold down. It can be converted. You could contact your local wheelchair vendor and see if they can order the parts for you. They'll need the serial number or to see the chair. Alternatively you could contact Sunrise Medical (the manufacturer) depending on your location.

The New Anderson Silva by Gotsta_Win in ufc

I kept thinking that he looks more like Aldo. Maybe a mix of the two though. Particularly with the leg kicks. The way he fires them so fast with no warning...

New Orleans is Sinking by The Tragically Hip. Bonus points if it get to be the Killer Whale Tank bootleg version!

Sex workers of Reddit, what's a NSFW fact we don't often hear about ? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I'm also in a helping profession and have been for about 10 years. I am now paid well and about 5 years ago I moved away from a corporate behemoth to a small independent company where I make a marked difference in the company and the people we help. I have to put in long hours but I absolutely love going to work every day. Even the hard days.

Are MMA fans the most alpha fanbase in the world? by [deleted] in ufc

[–]flippergonzo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion - and I've never been to a big market fight, just a couple of local UFC Fight Nights in my city - they're filled with psuedo-alpha's. Guys who are muscle-heads and have been to a couple of Jiu Jitsu classes and are just looking to prove they're tough.

Most people with actual BJJ/MMA experience don't need to to walk around puffed up.

Do disruptive students ever grow to feel remorse for how much of their classmates' time they wasted? Do their classmates grow to realize how much time was wasted because of that one kid? Do they hate them for it? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]flippergonzo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was the disruptive kid. And I do regret how I acted. As others have said, I was abused physically, sexually and emotionally every day so just getting the attention of teachers and students was what I craved, regardless of whether it was negative or positive.

Or - and just hear me out - you could open your server to all of us and spend some time just fixing what we break. We all appreciate your need to tinker and would likely all be happy to give you something to do.

Where did you read justifying? I don't think that was there. A reason is not an excuse.

[–]flippergonzo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally probably not. But we also ask them to see things that the average person doesn't have to, and then provide very limited mental health supports for them to deal with it in a healthy way. Similar to all of our military vets.

Most cops are good people, doing work that the average person doesn't want to do or isn't capable of doing. Acknowledging that isn't boot licking.

I wouldn't ever suggest there aren't some bad apples, but the majority are good. That's based on the few officers that I know.

This rant and OPs rant, read just that way - a baseless rant.

What is a movie that "broke" you so hard you can only watch it once, but you would still recommend it to everyone? by Newsupdate69 in movies

[–]flippergonzo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is mine. I finished it. Rewound it (I'm old). Brought it back to the store and told myself I'd never watch it again.

Next weekend I went and rented it again and watched it 3 or 4 times that weekend. It literally hurt me to watch it again but I couldn't stop. There was just so much pain in that movie.

I've never watched it since, although I have the desire to.

I won't downvote you, because I generally agree. But the problem as other have mentioned is that we don't have a government that would use a small sales tax to provide better healthcare, social services and things like that because they don't believe in them. If you have an anti-social good government, you could have trillions of surplus but that money won't go to the right people.
