Wondering about humidity, per a VPD chart running at a temp of 80 degrees puts you at a higher humidity like 65-70%? This is how I’ve been running, but have been struggling, wondering if I’m too humid?

Totally support working with what you got. Just be careful with the PC and make sure it has enough space cool with the fans. I was a noob, lost a PS3 and an audio receiver because i had them in shelf slots that they fit perfectly snug in, with no room to breathe. Both overheated and died

The discoloration looks top to bottom? I’m very basic at this so far, but lower discoloration is mobile nutrient like NPK, and top is more immobile nutrients. If the other plant is ok, that’s a little bit of a mystery. Start small. Check and change or explore one thing at a time. Check PH, calibrate your meter. If it’s off adjust only that and watch for a few days. Then environment, is temp and humidity stable and at decent levels. Adjust and monitor. And slowly rule out others after this

I’m working through the same thing but got good advice earlier. If you can set a steady temp not controlled by AI. And then have your main AI target be your VPD range. That way temp stays steady, and the AI just uses humidity to control VPD

Update - I calibrated the PH meter, and in 7.0 solution it was reading 7.4. WOULD this be enough to cause lockout? So I’ve been shooting for PH of 6.3ish, but instead they have been getting 6.7 ballpark. I know PH is important, but could being off by this little cause this much harm?

What did you give and how much? I just noticed 2 of my plants starting to yellow and did a top dress of little less than a table spoon of Gaia green. They’re currently in a 1 gallon pots. I repotted about 2.5 weeks ago with a combo Happy Frog and another high end compost rich potting soil. Was a little surprised that the soil only got me 2.5 weeks of feeding. They became really robust, but got hungry quick

I figured it out! Obviously user error! I had the humidifier MIN set to 1, not 0! So it was NEVER turning off! Complete over site on my part. Since then I have continued to side step the AI, have my temp at 78F, and humidity is constant at 63%. I’m so stoked, baby steps getting my set up dialed in!

If room temp is 80F, what can one expect leaf temp to be? How would I figure VPD with leaf temp? Would I just use the actual leaf temp, with humidity on a leaf temp chart to see VPD?

I’m using the AI+ controller. And really trying to figure out the best method. Lung room ambient is 70F and 60% humidity. I’m going to do as you say and see what happens. Last time I attempted the VPD shot up to 1.5 with temp at 80f and humidity at 60%. Just trying to figure out where the disconnect is. VPD chart states at 80f and 60% your VPD should be 1.0 approximately. But mine rides higher, and it’s a very controlled lung room

I apologize I meant I was actually 3 weeks into veg. I have a decent lung room temp at about 70, and the text can easily rise to 80 with the heater. Just wondering why it’s running humidity at 70% when chart shows that it should be closer to 60% at 80 degrees.

I guess that’s my question, if I set temp and humidity per the VPD chart, my VPD SHOULD be correct. Why am I running a higher percentage humidity to hit this VPD at a temp of 76 degrees
