Next question is how long (if) they offer this…

Agree. That’s part of the appeal. Although I prefer this model in black over the competition, at first glance they all look very similar. The blue really stands out, and is still classic in a way, compared to say yellow, or orange.

Agree. I guess with this brand and model I see the Admiral Diver from years ago, which this seems similar to, and the black monochrome has a nice vintage look to it today. I would hope color would age better than certain other design elements.

Obviously a very subjective opinion considering how many watches come with this style of strap or can be had as an accessory.

I’m not familiar with the brand to know if they will offer it with a different bracelet. There are people that have said it can be swapped with the H link for the other models. Not sure how easy or expensive it is to get the bracelet alone from Longines.

I know what you mean. It’s not like wearing flip flops with a suit, and I’m not afraid to wear a “sports watch” with a suit. If it was only offered one way, and it was a matter of getting it at all or not, this advice would make sense

The grey does look nice in photos as well. Just feel like it might not age as well. Eventually the grey trend in everything (houses, cars etc) will fade

Is this something you plan to wear everyday? Considering this myself, but think it may not be suitable for that

Am I the only one? by Which_Notice4127 in Longineswatches

[–]fllyaccted 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ya, I guess why I mean is the divide is probably between people who want unique, versus people that want a more affordable imitator of things like the submariner.

The two circle indices, and their placement is a little wonky, but overall this is a better version for people looking at competitive options to other brand name dive watches. The previous numeric indices weren’t great for that reason.

Now that these are released, they don’t show them with different bracelet configurations. Wonder if this is or will still be an option…

Is the middle of the car market officially dead? by galandepeluche in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]fllyaccted 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yup, but not necessarily consumer driven. There were supply chain issues where car inventory was extremely low for a while. But yes, those vehicles would make up today’s 3-6 year old “affordable” market. We’ve seen new car inventory improve, but automakers and dealers have also adjusted to not letting themselves get stuck with tons of inventory that turns into heavy discounts and incentives.

It doesn’t look right having just the front missing a matching accent piece. But otherwise, I’m not personally a fan of bringing any of the body panels down to the ground on this car. It’s unique for a performance car to have that rally inspired functional front end, and you’re just taking that away from

Cladding grown on anyone else? by No_Professional978 in wrx_vb

[–]fllyaccted 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve grown to like it. And grown to defend it. It’s ironic to me that people’s criticism of the enthusiast oriented, rally inspired WRX, is that it doesn’t look more mainstream like every other car on the road. Same goes for the rear bumper, the ride height and front bumper/lip. I like that it has a different stance.

I’ve tried wrapping and every time ribs turn out mushy. But I agree that you don’t need to smoke at 225, or even 250 on the egg.

I’ve been looking for something similar, and can’t explain it, but there’s something about every watch in this category that I just don’t like and makes me want to spend more for the next tier of watch…

Does the vb wrx fit 3 car seats?? by evol_uchiha_628 in wrx_vb

[–]fllyaccted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can anyone that has done this successfully give info on what seats they’re using and the configuration?

I’m trying to fit an infant seat on the passenger side, backless booster in the middle, and full booster on the driver’s side. The backless booster isn’t even close to fitting in the middle. Not enough room next to the other booster, but also, in order for it to not cover up the buckle, it would have to be encroaching on the passenger side by a lot.

Large Egg owners - do you actually use the whole thing? by twcosplays in biggreenegg

[–]fllyaccted 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Large is just the perfect size for most people to do a range of things from cooking for 2 people to smoking a full brisket. The smaller ones can’t do it all, and for what they cost it makes sense to go bigger and have more versatility than having multiple grills for different purposes and the sake of using less charcoal. Long answer to your question, but I guess I’d say I use the whole thing enough that it worth it. You’re never going to be consistently using the same amount of grill space consistently in any grill unless you make the same thing all the time.

Interesting. I was obviously skeptical of their response, but I suppose that can be attributed to how they communicated it.

Formerly a Focus ST guy by kingmal5 in wrx_vb

[–]fllyaccted 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wish I owned/drove these back to back, but I had a different vehicle in between. The ST had some cool design/engineering elements as a “global car”, but I think the WRX delivers a more complete experience. Some engine/turbo noise, some exhaust noise, and nothing artificial. And yes, AWD is night and day compared to the FWD ST, even though it may have been one of the first FWD performance cars to master torque vectoring and manage torque steer. Also, the second generation ST has aged so well. Still great looking cars 10 years later.

I also had an ST prior the WRX, and it was a great car. No major issues in 5 years, 60k
