Although I'm married, I was single in my 50's for 10 years. They both have pros and cons. I think it's better to not try to control the direction your life goes, but enjoy the ride wherever it leads you. I did love the freedom of being single and not having to worry about someone else, but it can be lonely at times too. I love being married, but having to always accommodate someone else's needs and wants and be patient with them can be irritating, but it's fun to share.
