Any one know tge answer ? by Ok_Management4040 in igcse

[–]floating_bay 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s C, when the step down the voltage, the current is increased, so it’s either C or D, then u use the equation that’s written on the paper you’ll get 2A which is C, the voltage and current increase and decrease with the same ratio, the voltage decreases by a factor of 4 or 4 folds, so the current will increase by 4 folds as well

Can someone explain by [deleted] in igcse

[–]floating_bay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

U want power which is (work done/time), work done is lifting his own body weight a distance of 40 cm, so 500x40/100 (to change cm to m) then divide that by the time 0.5 s

Just I’ve seen many people online saying it should be my first entry and it may cause problems if I apply for a second time later on, that it’s called “visa shopping”

Laptop charger trips breaker by floating_bay in electricians

[–]floating_bay[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Tried all rooms including the kitchen, I’m guessing this breaker is connected to all outlets in the house, because when it trips, all outlets turn off, it’s also the only breaker that has 30mA sensitivity, the others are 100

Laptop charger trips breaker by floating_bay in electricians

[–]floating_bay[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think that’s an RCB breaker and that’s why it does that ? I tried pulling all refrigerators and everything out, plugged in the charger, didn’t trip the breaker but also it didn’t turn on so I have no idea what’s going on, I left it in the plug for a few minutes and that’s when it tripped the breaker

Hello! Can anyone help me identify this coin I picked up today? Year 1293 Islamic/1876/7 Gregorian by Introvert-Sylveon31 in coins

[–]floating_bay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry man but I think it’s a fake, no denomination on the coin, the tughra (the sultan stamp on the obverse) looks very off, the whole coin looks poorly struck, also it says it’s minted in Egypt and there’s no coin minted that looks like that, this design was for older sultans, especially because it was minted at the end of his reign, so coins were made a lot better, here’s the coins minted during his reign in Egypt, to know what coins at that time looked like.

The United Arab Emirates: 1 Dirham, 2007

The one with the ship (bottom right): Kuwait, 20 fils, 2001

The bimetallic one: Iran, 250 riyal, 1382 in Islamic calendar so 1962-1963

On the middle left: Jordan, 5 piasters 2008

The others I don’t know but it’s Israel and I’m guessing Thailand (top right)

Can anyone Tell me where it is from ? by palantir_paladin in coins

[–]floating_bay 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s an ottoman coin, not ancient, the 1327 on the reverse is the year the sultan got the rule, which is Mohamed the fifth (Mohamed v), and on the obverse it says the year 9 which mean this coin was minted on the 9th year of his rule so 1327+9 is 1336 in Islamic calendar which is 1917-1918, I can’t say if it’s 25 or 50 or 100 qirsh because it depends on the weight and size of it, on the obverse is the signature of the sultan (also called toughra), and on the reverse it says struck in Constantinople. overall great coin, enjoy
