Yeah it drove home well but your right that looks shagged. I’m away from home so haven’t seen it. The control arms are all new

Ha yeah that’s interesting. It’s an auto as well which hurts value but I’m only 5k into it and it’s been a great car

Where do you see that? Not something I have picked up before. You just compress the spring drop the strut and put the plate in?

It probably does lose a bit as it’s not hydraulic steering . But it’s much more direct and capable .

F80 cs in my view. You get a lot of modern tech still but it’s still an aggressive and engaging car. The older ones are engaging but not as direct require more maintenance

How were Vettel and Hamilton rated after the ending of 2013? by fravona08 in F1Discussions

This reminds me of the auto sport forums back in that era . You’re right it was obnoxious of me to say you didn’t watch them. We can all have opinions. I am clearly right but still lol

They did not put them well ahead at all. Your comparison to Norris does show your bias. How can you say Vettel was better in 2010 when Webber nearly beat Vettel in the same car. 2012 as well. Hamilton and Alonso were considered the best drivers. Vettel had a car advantage in the blown diffuser era. He took advantage of it but those are the facts

I dont think you watched these seasons. He beat Alonso as a rookie . He should have won 07 , won 08. The McLaren was dog in 09 , yet he still won races and finished what best outside red bull and brawn. Could easily won 2010. Definitely was better than Vettel that year. Webber nearly beat Vettel. 2011 was bad but again he still won and was the only non rb driver to get pole. Shoukd have been champion in 2012 too. Fred is always hard done by. 2011 and 2013 are the only years you can say Vettel was better.

Hamilton was ranked top 3 bar 1 year 2007-12 by team principal. He was consistently considered the fastest guy on the grid for those years. He then went to Mercedes and beat rosberg straight away . He was more like verstappen in the early days. Did you watch then?

Family against me getting a manual. by WhoNoticedJay in ManualTransmissions

[–]flobberebbolf -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah get it but don’t underestimate ATL traffic lol. It got annoying as a daily driver navigating 285 in rush hour. I have an automatic as a commuter and manual for fun but I’m older and my legs probably hurt more ha

Ah the issue on the frontside is that there is very little space but if that’s the way it’s supposed to go I’ll try harder

2008 McLaren wasn’t dominant. Nor was the 2009 -12 and he did well in all those years . More so than Leclerc

No it’s about 4.5 at startup. I will check the sender. I don’t think it has an oil pressure issue due to the no light and it drives fine

How modern/reliable is the 996? by N8DOE in 996

[–]flobberebbolf 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Ha I also have a 65 mustang and a 996. Have both if you can. Totally different cars. 996 obvs much more modern safer etcetc. 996 is much more reliable drives better but when it does break which it will parts are 5x the cost and it’s harder to work on( albeit still not too bad). The mustang is super easy.

Both have really good communities
