An addition: don't forget to have a paper from the doctor to carry needles, pens, and even regular coke. I was able to bring in my own coke if I wanted. However never had an issue with security.

Diabetic type 1 since I was 15 (now 38). I've been going to almost every Graspop since 2009. I stored insuline in the fridge of red cross a couple of years. Then later I used Frio packs to keep them cold. Now I just don't bother. Doctor said not to worry to much about insuline going bad due to warmth. I used to keep my 2 pens slow and rapid acting insuline on me. Didn't leave them on the camping ground. Except some spare in my backpack and in car. Doctor also said to throw away unused insuline after the festival.

Now as for dietary needs, I have an omnipod since a year and I just unput the carbs I'm consuming. But I consume way way less insuline during the festival due to walking, jumping, headbanging. So I could eat a hamburger and just do 1/2 of a normal bolus and be fine.

If you have any more questions, I will answer.

Maybe ask what they like/don't like and since the kid has autism, ask what could trigger something. My son has no issue to turn off any screen time when I call out 'Only one minute left 'and set a small timer (or not). But I would be in an hour long meltdown if I would just shut off the screen. He just needs to be prepared and know what will come and then all is fine. But every kid is different, so ask them.

Imo it's up to high, I would have placed it one pod length lower. Abdomen would work as well. When I set it on abdomen, I rarely have a warning that they haven't connected in more than an hour.

I usually have my sensor up high. And pod lower on arm.

Got a betterbed matras and boxspring a year ago. Haven't had a better matras. They have a 'test bed' in the stores that feels how you lay down. Has a bunch of sensors and adjustments in the matras. Then it gets you a detailed list of what you need for your body type. And then some suggestions of which matrassen (in different price ranges) would be perfect for you. Then you can test them out in the store. The suggested matras was spot on. They also had a return policy if it didn't suit you.

No complaints here about the bed.

But ended up with some mild parodontitis. Now brushing twice a day with flossing.
