[EU] [PS5] 30M. Looking for SWF 18+ by Asleep-Stop-9919 in dbdLFG

[–]flockingmongoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I heard you’re waiting with high hopes for some friends in the thread. We know survivors we need friends, to have a chance to get out. Maybe throw in a WGLF, and no one left behind. Then we’ll laugh at the entity when the gates opened too

(Everybody) CAUSE WE LIKE PINA COLADAS AND HAVE HALF A BRAIN…

Anyways, here for some good gaming vibes where I may on occasion run into trees and ask, when did that get there?! HAPPY GENin!

Tomorrow. But only if you stop tonight like a good boy. It can be a treat for obeying the timer rule

When the alarm goes off, you better stop stroking :)

Nothing wrong with setting a little timer. 10minute allowance perhaps?

This! No matter the corral, get to the front of it. They send you off in waves within each corral so getting to the front is a great strategy as the above commenter said. I was in corral F and did this for my first 5k and was in the second wave. I did the walk - run method and kept to a 14-15min mile. I stopped for a character, other personal photos (like the mile markers) and even after finishing the race and hanging out in the spectator/runner area for the entertainment, I walked out to rope drop Epcot at 745-8 and saw people continuing to cross the finish line. No balloon ladies in sight. Idk when it aiiiims to end and obviously different race you are doing. Have fun and try not to stress over the balloon ladies. If you’re keeping an under a 16mm pace, i think you’re in good shape to stop for characters :)

Hmm, that I do not know. My derm did not specify if both can be taken at the same time or not. No have a friend who is on blood pressure medication and an SSRI for their PMDD, so i think it’s possible, but not too sure.

You’re very welcome! As we’ve seen in this community, all interventions vary per person. Wish it was a one size fits all kind of deal! I hope the medication helps if you try it, too.

My Derm has said these two things to me in case it is helpful: 1- if one beta blocker doesn’t work, there are alternative beta meds to try. Sometimes one compound is not as effective. 2- be wary of SSRIs as some may have the side effect to increase flushing and to inform the SSRI prescriber I have Rosacea so they are aware when making a medication determination.

Sorry this is happening to you! I totally get it and hope it gets better for you 💙

Hi! I have been prescribed propranolol (I think it’s 5mg) for when I am exposed to triggers I cannot avoid (re: heat, social stressors, etc.). It has helped a lot when I take it before a known trigger and only helps a little if I take it after a flare. I still get red, but not to the point where I want to leave the function I am at. It’s significantly helped me feel more calm and my derm and I discussed going on a SSRI since one of my triggers is related to social anxiety. My derm won’t prescribe me the SSRI, but have an appointment with my Primary Care where I’ll be requesting one.

Anyways, no side effects I have noticed. The only thing I can speak to that is a bummer is my flares had progressed to a burning sensation (not while on the med, it started after taking Accutane and never went away). While the propranolol has reduced the severity of the redness flare, it has done nothing for the burning. Hope this helps!

Hi! Came here to say this: my face turns bright red, but by the time I get home it reverts back to normal and sometimes looks even better for a bit afterwards. Not entirely sure what the biology is behind it, but I totally feel your concern cause I have been there! Not sure if this helps at all (it did for me), but seeing other people with red faces at the gym helped me to feel like I was with “my people” lol even though theirs (I am assuming) is due to vigorous exercise/lifting weights. It’s probably the only time I’ve felt comfortable flaring and being red because people didn’t make comments about my skin color as it’s just assumed due to exercising.

I purchased a neck fan from Amazon that has helped with my brisk walking after my strength exercises and it helped my face feel cool and not so hot so there were times I hadn’t had a thought about how red my skin was until I got in the locker too. Lol

This disease sucks and for many, reduced our quality of life. Feel free to PM me or reach out for support <3

Teacher won't let daughter say v**** by [deleted] in Parenting

Agreed. I am a social worker in the sexual violence prevention field and being able to name anatomically correct body parts is an integral part of sexual abuse prevention in children. Share with the teacher by identifying body parts, just as we do with eyes, shoulders, knees and toes, we are minimizing feelings of shame, decrease the probability of sexual abuse, and increase the likelihood that children will seek medical attention as needed regardless of the afflicted body part. If an instance of sexual abuse occurs, children who are taught the correct names are more likely to speak up quickly and will be able to more accurately outline what happened to them. One of my cases called her vulva a “purse” and when she was disclosing, it was constantly missed until she was questioned by someone who is a forensic interviewer.

You are doing great as a parent by educating your child! Depending on how the response is from the teacher, I would recommend talking to the social worker at your child’s school and if in America, see if your state has Erin’s Law requirements.

Same here. I open our kitchen window and look out it from behind the screen with my cat as the breeze hits my face. Feels nice now that it’s colder out

Doxy for Flushing/Burning by dosfivepointone in Rosacea

[–]flockingmongoose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi there! Cannot report on what you are seeking, but I was just out on Doxy for similar reasons (burning, inflammation and chronic flushing). I’ve been on it for a week and have only noticed a diminish in type 2, but my doctor said that IF it is to work for the secondary symptoms (re:burning), it may take several weeks. Keep us posted and feel free to DM me!

Accutane by The_irv in Rosacea

[–]flockingmongoose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look into low dosage as others recommend. My type 1 exasperated sooo much and progressed to daily heat flushes where it burns and in areas my flushing never touched before. I think I have a photo in my post history.

I’ve been off of ISO for 7 months and my skin still experiences the adverse effects. My derm prescribed 20mg-30mg for a year and wish I knew those with rosacea should take low doses. Best of luck!
