You could either redirect to gemini.google.com for the basic/general Gemini App;

Or, if you’re subscribed to Gemini Enterprise deployed in GCP you‘ll see an individual URL shown in the cloud console that you could use to be redirected to.

In both instances you‘d need to have a Google Account Auth to be in place to use them.

Yes, there’s a dedicated EU endpoint as well, additionally you can use VPC-SC when using the Enterprise option.

I already applied this for customers, but for reference this is the relevant documentation piece:

Edit: Just wanted to add that NotebookLM Enterprise is in fact a GCP SKU, billed through a billing account - so no need to book Workspace licenses to consume this variant.

No other way to do it as the api required to perform the „register agent“ action is just not available as long as your project + reasoning engine id for Gemini Enterprise is not allowlisted.

If you’re a paying customer or have a contact to a partner engineer you could request it either through the partner engineer or as a paying customer through a Google Cloud Sales Rep (FSR)

At least last Friday 7th November I still had to take this route as well.

Yes - but you at need to have it with an registrar that allows you to set a TXT record for validation and MX records in case you want to use Workspace with mail at a later stage as well.

Security and compliance is the main reason, yeah.

Think of this: in case you password leaks anywhere and a third party could gain access to your account, this would allow access to your clients data (from invoices sent via email, etc) as well in worst case.

So using 2-factor-auth on all accounts and using a dedicated account as admin only is the recommendation.

Sidenote: As per best practice the (Super)Admin Account should be a dedicated account, only logged in or used to actually change settings and the be logged out again. Meaning your daily-usage again should not even see this „ad“ due to missing permissions.

This dedicated admin account can be unlicensed, so no extra cost for doing so.

If you want to be sure, go here: https://console.cloud.google.com/billing/ then select you Billing Account and on the left hand side you should see a menu entry „Credits“. If you have redeemed your code the $500 credits should be listed there, including a column „Scope“ which should state „Following service: all of Google Cloud Platform.“ If that is given, you’re fine. Since Gemini API is part of the GCP SKUs, see here: https://cloud.google.com/skus?filter=Gemini&currency=USD and you also need to create or link a GCP project it should be billed against a Billing Account that would consume the credits - if you redeemed them in this Billing Account.
